District Director Presents Tricycle to Seven-Year-Old Student from Ballia After Her Story Goes Viral
Seven-year-old Ragini Digheda from the village of Ranipur, located in the Manier area of Ballia district, is a first-grade student at the primary school. After an accident at six months old, one of her legs was seriously injured, causing her to walk to school by hopping on one leg for about 400 meters. After a video of this journey became popular on social media, district official Mangla Prasad Singh arrived at Ragini's home with staff on Wednesday. He presented her with two tricycles, books, a bag of toys, and chocolate, and also promised to provide medical assistance and repair the road. An Unbroken Spirit Despite Losing a Leg in an Accident Ragini's mother, Babita Devi, recounted that when her daughter was six months old, she suffered a severe leg injury in an accident. Due to the family's modest financial situation, they could not afford quality treatment for her. The child would cry watching other children carry their school bags, and sometimes she would travel to school herself by hopping on one leg. After the video went viral, District Director Mangla Prasad Singh sent a specialist in empowering persons with disabilities and a doctor on Tuesday. Then, on Wednesday, he personally visited Ragini's home with officials. He assured the family that Ragini's education would not be interrupted and that she would be provided with all state programs. Instructions for Treatment, Toilet, and Road Repair The district official ordered a medical examination for Ragini and ensured proper treatment for her leg. Furthermore, information was provided about the upcoming repair of the dilapidated road in the village and the approval of a budget for building a toilet in the house.

Teenager commits suicide in Surat after being scolded by mother during family vacation
A tragic incident occurred in the city of Surat when a 13-year-old boy committed suicide after being reprimanded by his mother. While having fun with his siblings, the mother scolded both children. Afterward, the son became upset and left the house, only to return about 15–20 minutes later and hang himself. The incident took place in the Rander area, at house number 9 of the Bhuvneshwari residential complex. The deceased was only 13 years old and was a student in the 8th grade at Swaminarayan School. On the evening of August 31st, the children were playing and having fun at home, after which their mother began scolding them. Because of this, the boy felt offended and left the house. At that time, the mother was absent, dealing with matters related to her passport and Aadhaar card. When the mother returned, she discovered her son hanging from the staircase railing. The sight shocked her, and screams erupted in the house. Relatives and neighbors arrived. The boy was immediately brought down and attempted to be taken to the hospital, but doctors at the civil hospital pronounced him dead. An autopsy was subsequently performed. This tragedy shook the entire neighborhood. A child who was barely 13 years old took such a terrible step after a remark from his mother. For the family, it was a huge shock. It is reported that the child was simply having a good time with his siblings; the mother scolded them for discipline, but the child's subsequent actions plunged the entire family into deep sorrow. A brief displeasure and a fleeting emotional outburst cost the family their innocent son. An atmosphere of grief prevails in the complex following the incident, and everyone is shaken by this sad story. This case raises questions about the growing emotional tension among children and the serious steps they take over trivial matters. After this incident, it is crucial to understand children's feelings and communicate with them instead of scolding them. However, the true reason why the child took such action will only become clear after an investigation. This tragic event in the Rander area of Surat took happiness from one family and cast the entire neighborhood into sadness. The deceased child's uncle, Rakesh Bhilave, stated that they are from the village of Bhesan. He recounted that the siblings had a slight argument, and his sister scolded him. Then she went away to get her passport and Aadhaar card. When the sister returned after 15–20 minutes, the boy had already hanged himself. The child was 13 years old and studied in the eighth grade at Swaminarayan School, Mora Baghal. He urged all parents to keep children away from phones and take care of them.
