A new complex designed for hosting large-scale international events is planned for the city of Bukhara. This complex will include a congress hall and two hotels, with a total cost of $136.6 million.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally inspected the progress of work at the construction site. The most significant element of the project is the congress hall, which is valued at $60 million. This building has an area of 14.5 thousand square meters and is designed to host conferences, high-level meetings, and various forums.
Currently, the main concrete pouring work for the congress hall is complete; builders are focusing on facade finishing, roof installation, and laying external engineering networks.
Two seven-story hotels are also being built on the same territory. The first, Hilton Garden Inn, is valued at $37 million and will have 212 rooms. The structures of this hotel are already ready, and work is underway on interior finishing and the facade, as well as setting up underground parking.
The second hotel, Holiday Inn, will cost $39.6 million and will also feature 212 rooms. Next to it, a two-story business center is being constructed, where concrete pouring is being completed in the basement, and the roof is being installed and internal partitions are being erected in the hotel itself.
After inspecting the facilities, the president instructed the necessity of strictly adhering to quality requirements and completing all construction work on time.
The relevance of infrastructure development for business tourism is increasing against the backdrop of growing tourist flow. Over the period from 2016 to 2025, the number of foreign visitors to Uzbekistan has increased almost sixfold, and the export of tourism services has increased elevenfold. It is expected that the new facilities in Bukhara will allow the city to host more international events and improve tourist services.
