Since the beginning of 2025, the Leningrad Region's Representation is operating in Tashkent, based at the INNO technopark, in the format of a showroom. This venue is designed to strengthen business ties between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Leningrad Region.
The potential of one of Russia's leading industrial regions has been demonstrated in this space. Products from over 75 companies are featured here, covering a wide range of goods: from food and consumer goods to construction materials, industrial equipment, and innovative developments. The showroom serves as a place for business meetings and receiving delegations interested in examining the products of Leningrad Region manufacturers.
The creation of the showroom was carried out by the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activities of the Leningrad Region in collaboration with the Leningrad Region Industry Development Center. This venue acts not only as an exhibition area but also as a platform for establishing contacts, exchanging experience, and signing new agreements. Thanks to the showroom's operation, more than 20 deals have already been concluded, totaling nearly 2 million US dollars.
The Representation offers several key advantages to Uzbek partners. Firstly, it provides direct access to vetted suppliers from various industries, giving Uzbek enterprises the opportunity to find profitable avenues for joint work. Many of these companies are interested not only in export but also in localizing the final stage of production directly in Uzbekistan.
Secondly, partners can personally examine the products, verify their compliance with local standards and requirements, and discuss partnership terms directly with manufacturers via video conferencing, having the opportunity to reach decision-makers.
Thirdly, companies from the Leningrad Region participating in the showroom receive priority access to state export support. This means they can avoid significant advertising and intermediary costs, as well as receive partial co-financing for certification and transportation costs, which is a substantial benefit for Uzbek buyers.
A special Telegram channel has been created to view the assortment and information about the companies presented in the showroom. Through this channel, products can be studied remotely and producers contacted, opening up new prospects for cooperation.
