The international market for cinema, series, and digital content, named Tashkent Content Market, will be held in Tashkent for the first time. Organizers expect this event to attract delegations from over 50 countries worldwide.
The event is scheduled for February 4-5, 2027, and will take place at the Uzexpo Center. It is projected that more than three thousand industry professionals will arrive at the market center.
Participants will be able to showcase their animation, series, and film projects to foreign streaming services and television channels. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to conclude deals for screening rights, attract necessary investments, and find partners for co-productions.
Representatives from over twenty television channels, more than fifteen online and streaming platforms, as well as seven state and industry structures, and about forty film studios, media companies, and creative groups attended the presentation on the future of the market. They were presented with the program of the upcoming event and informed about the participation requirements.
The Tashkent Content Market program includes an international exhibition, a forum, business meetings, project presentations, and master classes. The organizer of this market is the Content Preparation Center for Mass Media under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan. Plans to change the strategy for developing the film industry in Uzbekistan were previously announced. According to these plans, the primary responsibility in this area will be entrusted to private film studios, independent authors, and producers.
