In anticipation of the celebration of Teachers' and Mentors' Day, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the 'New Uzbekistan' University. During his visit, the head of state held discussions with the teaching staff, students, as well as with foreign partners participating in various international educational programs.
According to information provided by the presidential press service, Mirziyoyev examined an exhibition of achievements in the field of education and inspected the university's scientific and educational base.
He was shown specialized areas such as the IDROCK artificial intelligence cluster, laboratories dealing with biotechnology and bioinformatics, materials science, as well as laboratories dedicated to laser and nanotechnology, and mechanical engineering (ADM). These spaces combine theoretical knowledge with practical activities, scientific research, and project implementation.
Prior to this visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had already held an awards ceremony for educators, scientists, and coaches in honor of the professional holiday.
