Uzbekistan Airports, in collaboration with the cargo airline My Freighter, has launched a multimodal project designed to transport e-commerce goods from China to European countries via Tashkent International Airport.
The new route operates on a Truck-to-Air model, which integrates ground and air transport into a single logistics chain. Cargo from various Chinese cities is first delivered by ground transport to Tashkent, where it undergoes necessary processing procedures, before being transported by air to Liege Airport in Belgium.
The project was launched on August 22, 2026. To date, seven cargo flights have been completed under this project.
It is planned that in the next phase, the flight frequency will increase to four to six per week. Each aircraft will carry approximately 50 tons of cargo. Upon reaching the planned frequency, the weekly volume of e-commerce cargo could reach 200–300 tons.
Kamoliddin Buharaov, Head of Cargo Operations at Uzbekistan Airports, noted that this project will help utilize Tashkent's transit potential as a multimodal hub between Asia and Europe.
According to Buharaov, by combining air and ground transportation, an efficient logistics route is created, connecting major e-commerce centers in China with European markets. He also emphasized that the project will contribute to the further development of Uzbekistan's transit potential and strengthen Tashkent's position in international logistics.
