The First Ladies of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan visited the capital's showroom 'Akhun Guzar'. There, they were shown products from local masters and brands that interpret ancient national craft traditions.
The guests were able to view the works of Uzbek designers and artisans, which harmoniously combine modern methods, long-standing craft customs, and national motifs.
A separate cultural program was organized for the delegation from Azerbaijan. They were introduced to customs related to family formation, including the process of preparing the bride's dowry, Suzani embroidery, wedding ceremonies, the sending off of the bride to the groom's home, as well as the 'kelin salom' and 'beshik toy' holidays, and the traditional lullaby 'alla'.
This event contributed to demonstrating cultural closeness between the two peoples. In both Uzbek and Azerbaijani cultures, family values, respect for elders, upbringing of offspring, hospitality, and the preservation of national customs are highly valued.
