Russia Maintains Status as Main Foreign Market for Uzbek Goods

According to information from the National Committee on Statistics, the total volume of Uzbekistan's exports reached 15.9 billion US dollars in the period from January to June 2026. Russia's share of this volume amounted to approximately 2.4 billion US dollars, which is equivalent to about 15% of all Uzbek exports.

The top ten export destinations for Uzbekistan include the following countries: Russia with a sum of 2.4 billion US dollars; China with 1.4 billion US dollars; Afghanistan with 961.5 million US dollars; Kazakhstan with 717 million US dollars; France with 707.2 million US dollars; Hong Kong (a special administrative region of China) with 543.1 million US dollars; Turkey with 516.2 million US dollars; Kyrgyzstan with 452.7 million US dollars; UAE with 353.4 million US dollars; and Tajikistan with 333.3 million US dollars.

These ten countries collectively accounted for 52.8% of Uzbekistan's total exports. Thus, Russia confidently maintains its position as the main buyer of Uzbek products, with the volume of supplies to the Russian market almost one and a half times greater than exports to China, which holds second place.

Nevertheless, despite high demand and the significant capacity of the Russian market, further growth in Uzbek exports will largely depend on the purchasing power of both Russian consumers and local businesses.
