The youth national team of Uzbekistan in judo won first place in the overall team standings at the Asian Youth Championship held in Amman, Jordan.
Results of the Second Day of Competitions
During the second day of the competition, Uzbek athletes received eight awards, including five gold, two silver, and one bronze medal.
Champions and Medalists of the Tournament
The Asian champions were declared as Bekhzubek Usmonov in the under 73 kg category, Jurabek Eshpulatov in the under 90 kg weight class, Alibek Durdyev in the over 90 kg class, Zuhra Alimova in the under 57 kg category, and Parizoda Yuldosheva in the under 63 kg weight class.
Silver medals were won by Samandar Sunnatov (under 81 kg) and Dinora Samandarova (under 63 kg). The bronze medalist in the under 70 kg weight category was Posshozjon Jumaboeva.
Overall Result and Future Plans
In total, the Uzbekistan team won 20 medals, consisting of 11 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze. This impressive result secured a confident leadership for the national team in the tournament's medal tally. Furthermore, the Asian Youth Championship competitions will begin in Amman from this day, where Uzbek judokas will also compete for awards.
