Uzgidromet warns Uzbekistan residents about strong winds, dust storms, and heat

An increase in wind activity is forecast for seven regions of Uzbekistan today during the day, reaching 13–18 meters per second. Dust storms are possible in some areas.

Regions with unfavorable forecasts

According to forecasters, adverse weather conditions are expected in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, and Jizzakh regions.

Recommendations for the population

Residents of the listed regions are advised to be vigilant, especially when outdoors or while traveling by car, due to the risk of reduced visibility.

Situation in Tashkent

It is also noted that due to abnormally high temperatures, city services in Tashkent have intensified efforts to irrigate streets and green spaces. Furthermore, the uninterrupted operation of city fountains is planned soon.

Uzhydromet reported that very hot air is expected to arrive in the territory of Uzbekistan from the southern direction between July 13 and 17.

Temperature and wind forecast

According to the forecast, on the hottest days, the air temperature in most of the country will reach readings of +41 to +43 degrees Celsius. In the northern, southern, and desert zones, even higher temperatures are expected—from +44 to +46 degrees.

Additionally, in some places, wind load may increase up to 13–18 meters per second, and dusty ground may be observed in certain areas.
