Young Uzbek Boxers Win Asian Championship Titles

The women's national team of Uzbekistan won first place in the overall team standings at the Asian Boxing U19 and U23 Championship held in Jakarta.

Results and Medals

Uzbek athletes participated in eight out of ten weight categories and won six medals: four gold and two silver. It was thanks to these achievements that the team managed to secure the first position in the overall standings. The Kazakhstan team took second place in the tournament, and India received third place.

Gold Medalists

Sabrina Chakomanova (up to 54 kg), Sevara Mamatova (up to 60 kg), Rushanabonu Isoeva (up to 65 kg), and Samira Turgunova (up to 75 kg) brought gold medals to Uzbekistan. All four athletes won their final matches with a score of 5:0. Among the winners: Chakomanova defeated Joyshri Devi from India, Mamatova beat Chahat from India, Isoeva overcame Tong Wong from Chinese Taipei, and Turgunova defeated Anshiku from India.

Silver Medalists

Nazokat Mardonova (up to 51 kg) was awarded a silver medal after losing the final to Indian athlete Chandrike Pujari with a score of 0:5, and Maftuna Yangiyeva (up to 70 kg) suffered a defeat in the decisive match against Kamila Ospanova from Kazakhstan with a score of 2:3.

Further Stages of the Championship

The Asian Championship in Jakarta continues. Next, representatives of the national team of Uzbekistan in the U23 age category will compete for medals.

The women's national team of Uzbekistan won by securing five medals at the Asian U20 Wrestling Championship, which is being held in Thailand.

According to the results of the competition, athletes from Uzbekistan received one gold, one silver, and three bronze medals.

Mukhaiyo Narzilloyeva became the Asian champion in the under 65 kg category. Shokhista Shonazarova won a silver medal in the under 50 kg weight class. Among the bronze medalists of the tournament were Feruza Kairatdinova (under 62 kg), Mukhaiyo Rakhimjonova (under 68 kg), and Sevincoy Polvonova (under 76 kg).

The women's national team of Uzbekistan in sports wrestling demonstrated a successful performance at the Asian Championship for athletes under 20, which took place in Thailand. The team managed to win five different awards.

Achievements at the Tournament

The greatest success was achieved by Mukhaiye Narzilloyeva, who took first place in the weight category up to 65 kilograms, becoming the Asian champion. Shokhista Shonazarova received the silver medal in the category up to 50 kilograms.

Bronze Medals Won

In addition, three other athletes were able to reach the podium, winning bronze medals. Their achievements include: Feruza Kairatdinova in the weight up to 62 kilograms, Mukhaiye Rakhimjonova in the category up to 68 kilograms, and Sevincoy Polvonova in the weight up to 76 kilograms.
