The women's national team of Uzbekistan won first place in the overall team standings at the Asian Boxing U19 and U23 Championship held in Jakarta.
Results and Medals
Uzbek athletes participated in eight out of ten weight categories and won six medals: four gold and two silver. It was thanks to these achievements that the team managed to secure the first position in the overall standings. The Kazakhstan team took second place in the tournament, and India received third place.
Gold Medalists
Sabrina Chakomanova (up to 54 kg), Sevara Mamatova (up to 60 kg), Rushanabonu Isoeva (up to 65 kg), and Samira Turgunova (up to 75 kg) brought gold medals to Uzbekistan. All four athletes won their final matches with a score of 5:0. Among the winners: Chakomanova defeated Joyshri Devi from India, Mamatova beat Chahat from India, Isoeva overcame Tong Wong from Chinese Taipei, and Turgunova defeated Anshiku from India.
Silver Medalists
Nazokat Mardonova (up to 51 kg) was awarded a silver medal after losing the final to Indian athlete Chandrike Pujari with a score of 0:5, and Maftuna Yangiyeva (up to 70 kg) suffered a defeat in the decisive match against Kamila Ospanova from Kazakhstan with a score of 2:3.

The Asian Championship in Jakarta continues. Next, representatives of the national team of Uzbekistan in the U23 age category will compete for medals.
