The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan has announced the temporary suspension of operations for both state and non-state preschool institutions in the region. This decision was made against the backdrop of a sharp rise in air temperature.
Reasons and Purpose of Measures
Ministry explanations indicate that this measure is necessary to ensure the safety and health protection of children from the negative effects of abnormal heat.
Suspension Schedule
According to the orders of city and district heads, the kindergarten closure schedule varies by territory. In the city of Nukus and Khodjayli district, kindergartens will not operate from July 13 to July 18. In Amudaryo district, a break is scheduled from July 13 to July 15.
For Beruniy, Takhiatash, Shumana, Muynak, Kanlikul, and Turtkul districts, the dates are set from July 13 to July 17. The cessation of kindergarten activities is based on conclusions and recommendations from the territorial departments of the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health.
Appeal to Parents
Officials also called on parents to pay increased attention to the health condition of their children. Parents were asked to avoid prolonged time outdoors for minors during the hottest hours and to strictly follow all necessary precautions.
