President Shavkat Mirziyoyev studied a report dedicated to the measures being taken to prepare the oil and gas sector for the upcoming autumn-winter period. The meeting involved a detailed review of comprehensive steps aimed at guaranteeing stable access to energy resources for the population, social institutions, and various sectors of the economy during the 2026–2027 season.
Gas Supply Objectives
During the discussion, specific goals were set regarding the supply of natural and liquefied gas, as well as repairs to both main and regional gas networks. The country's leadership emphasized the preparation of the gas supply system for the onset of cold weather. It is planned to replace 53.7 kilometers of damaged sections of main gas pipelines and carry out major repairs on 77 gas pumping units at compressor stations.
Gas Infrastructure Modernization
To improve the quality of gas supply to 220 thousand households located in 881 mahallas and reduce technological losses, the transition from a three-stage distribution scheme to a two-stage scheme will be implemented. This modernization includes major repairs and reconstruction of 711.9 kilometers of gas networks and 400 gas distribution points.
