Uzbekistan to establish technical college for training rescuers

Uzbekistan plans to create a Technical College for training rescuers as part of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Academy. The educational institution's activities will begin in the 2027/2028 academic year based on Cabinet of Ministers Decree No. 611 dated November 6, 2026.

Initially, the creation of the college was stipulated by Presidential Decree No. PP-123 dated April 3, 2026. The new decree defines the conditions for organizing the college's activities and the main directions of professional training.

Graduates of general educational institutions can enroll either through state grants or paid contracts. The educational process will cover programs of initial, secondary, and specialized secondary vocational education.

Goals and Content of Training

One of the key tasks of the college will be to train rescuers for emergency response services, equipping them with modern professional knowledge and practical skills. To improve the quality of education, the curriculum will combine theoretical study with practical training.

Plans include the creation of simulation and virtual laboratories, as well as training grounds where students can practice actions in emergency situations. Furthermore, starting from 2029, graduates of the college's professional programs will be enrolled in the reserve fund for emergency response services.
