Bollywood actor Salman Khan is in the news regarding his upcoming war drama film 'Matrubhumi: Me War Rest In Peace'. During a special event held in Mumbai, when asked about the possibility of a biopic based on his life, he surprised everyone with his unique response.
Salman jokingly stated that there is nothing in his life that could make a film successful. However, he also warned that if a biopic based on his complete truth were made, many people could be seriously affected or ruined.
In response to questions from the media about the biopic during the trailer launch event, Salman Khan told the media that there is nothing in his life that can drive a film (he said this while laughing). He also added that if a real biopic were prepared, it would contain so much material that many people could fall into crisis.
The original name of this film, titled 'Matrubhumi: Me War Rest In Peace', was previously 'Galwan'. This film is inspired by the conflict that took place in Galwan between India and its aggressive neighbor China on June 15, 2020. This incident occurred during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The clash happened between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley of Eastern Ladakh.
This confrontation was part of a larger border dispute along the 'Line of Actual Control' (LAC). When both sides attempted to patrol in the disputed areas, the skirmish turned violent. In this battle, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred, while China also suffered losses. It was the deadliest clash between India and China in over four decades, which increased tensions. As a result, both countries increased the deployment of their military forces and initiated diplomatic talks to avert future conflicts. Currently, India and China have improved their relations and opened up several avenues through diplomatic channels.
The actor also refuted rumors claiming that the government pressured him to change the film's script. The film 'Matrubhumi: Me War Rest In Peace' is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 4, 2026.
