Egyptian actor Ahmed Helmy attended the presentation of his own wax figure at the Madame Tussauds Museum in Dubai. He became the first Arab actor included in the museum's collection of stars.
At the ceremony, his wife, Mona Zaki, was by his side. The museum houses between 60 and 70 highly detailed wax figures of famous personalities from the fields of entertainment, sports, politics, and fashion.
This event marks the first expansion of the well-known museum into the Middle East since its opening in October 2021.
Actor Helmy plans to return to the big screen after a four-year break with the film 'Hadouta' (History). This film will be released in Egyptian cinemas on November 11.
The film is written by Ahmed Abdel Rahman and directed by Mazen Ashraf. It stars Amin Khalil, Magued El Masry, Rahma Ahmed, Sherin, and Mohamed Abdel Azim alongside Ahmed Helmy.
The plot of 'Hadouta' centers around a 40-year-old criminal character who cannot remember where he hid a kidnapped witness. He consults a hypnotherapist to recover the lost information. However, to restore his memory, he must confront old enemies, past events, and most importantly, face himself.
