Airlines Centrum Air and A-Quatro Discuss Cargo Flights Between China and Poland

The Uzbek airline Centrum Air and the Polish company A-Quatro held discussions on organizing cargo air transport services from China to Poland. This meeting took place in Tashkent during the visit of a Polish business delegation to Uzbekistan.

Discussion of Cargo Transport Opportunities

The negotiations included Adrian Alexin, Director of A-Quatro, and Mohi Shenesh, Deputy Commercial Director of Centrum Air for Cargo Transportation and Business Development Director. The parties reviewed the possibility of chartering cargo flights for transporting consumer goods, electronics, and clothing.

The airports of Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Shenzhen were named as potential departure points in China. The final determination of routes is expected after participants assess airport capabilities, obtain necessary permits, and agree on cargo handling terms.

Multimodal Delivery Options

Participants also discussed alternative multimodal options for cargo delivery. One proposed option involves transporting goods from China to Tashkent by land transport, followed by their transfer to Europe by air.

Following the meetings, the parties agreed to continue exchanging working documents. The next stage is planned to involve discussions on estimated tariffs and commercial cooperation terms. Currently, no information has been provided regarding the start date of operations, the anticipated flight frequency, or the volume of transported goods.

Pegasus Airlines is considering launching flights from Istanbul to Karshi and Nukus

Representatives of Uzbekistan Airports and the Turkish company Pegasus Airlines are discussing the possibility of starting regular flights from Istanbul to Karshi and Nukus. These potential routes could establish the first scheduled air connections between the Turkish city and two Uzbek destinations.

The discussions are part of expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan Airports and Pegasus Airlines. Previously, both parties reached an agreement on introducing regular flights from Istanbul to Bukhara, Andijan, and Termez.

The launch of these three agreed routes will be carried out in stages. The first flight to Bukhara is scheduled for December 14, 2026, followed by flights to Andijan on December 18, 2026, and to Termez on March 1, 2027.

All flights will operate from Sabiha Gökçen International Airport in Istanbul, and aircraft from the Airbus A320/A321 family are expected to serve these three destinations.

For Andijan, the new service will provide the first regular air connection with Istanbul. In Bukhara and Termez, which already receive flights from the Turkish metropolis, the appearance of Pegasus Airlines will expand the range of options for passengers.

The possible opening of services to Karshi and Nukus will further increase Pegasus Airlines' network in Uzbekistan, but launch dates for both proposed routes have not yet been announced.

The new connections will also allow passengers from regions of Uzbekistan to use Sabiha Gökçen Airport as a transit hub for Pegasus Airlines flights to Europe, the Middle East, and other destinations in the carrier's network.

Pegasus Airlines was founded in 1990 and has operated under a low-cost business model since 2005. Its main base of operations is located at Sabiha Gökçen International Airport in Istanbul. According to available information, the airline operates a fleet of 129 Airbus and Boeing aircraft and serves about 160 destinations in more than 50 countries.
