New luxury model Denza Z9 GT to appear in the Indian market next month

A new automotive brand is preparing to enter the Indian market. This concerns Denza, a luxury brand from BYD, which plans to debut in India on November 13th. The company may introduce two products under this brand: the Denza D9 MPV and the Z9 GT.

Both vehicles have already been patented in India, and they are expected to be unveiled on November 13th. Recently, the Denza Z9 GT was spotted in India in its signature green color. This car is positioned as a high-performance flagship sedan or coupe.

Although pricing information is currently unavailable, in China, this vehicle starts from 329,800 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 46.74 lakh rupees. Denza vehicles will be priced higher than BYD models as they belong to a higher price segment.

Regarding the upcoming Denza Z9 GT, its price in India could be around 10 million rupees, although official cost data has not yet been published. In China, the top version is equipped with a 122.5 kWh battery and a three-motor system, providing a peak power of 1156 hp and a torque of 1210 Nm. The claimed range is 1036 kilometers.

This car boasts high performance: it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, and its top speed reaches 270 km/h. The dimensions of the Denza Z9 GT PHEV are 5195 mm in length, 1990 mm in width, 1500 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3125 mm. In India, this vehicle will arrive in an electric configuration.

The interior of the Denza Z9 GT offers an extensive set of technologies: a 17.3-inch infotainment display, a 13.2-inch instrument cluster, and a 13.2-inch passenger screen. The car will be equipped with power-operated doors, seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, as well as a large panoramic sunroof.

New car company Denza from BYD prepares to enter the Indian market; teaser of the first car presented

BYD plans to bring its premium brand Denza to the Indian market. The official launch of Denza in India is scheduled for November 13. The company has already released a teaser of its upcoming vehicle, which showcased the taillights and digital instrument cluster.

It is anticipated that the company may enter the Indian market with two models. One of them could be the Denza Z9 GT, about which information has previously been received. The Denza Z9 GT is positioned as a high-performance premium electric vehicle.

On the global market, this car is available in both an EV and a plug-in hybrid version. However, in the Indian market, the company may present it exclusively in the electric variant. This model is equipped with three motors: one located at the front and two at the rear, providing a power output of 1156 hp.

The car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.7 seconds, and its top speed reaches 270 kilometers per hour. Regarding range, the Denza Z9 GT meets standard EV requirements, offering a claimed range of 600 kilometers.

Furthermore, the car supports ultra-fast charging with a power of 1500 kW. Thanks to this feature, the 122.5 kWh battery can charge from 10% to 97% in just 9 minutes. The system automatically stops charging at 97% to extend the battery's lifespan.

Given these characteristics, buyers should be prepared for higher expenses, as it will be presented in the luxury segment. The price range for Denza will start where BYD's offerings end, meaning the brand's vehicles will cost over 80 lakh rupees. Specifically, the Denza Z9 GT may cost between 1.2 and 1.5 crore rupees.

VinFast filed a patent application for a new SUV for the Indian market, aiming to compete with Tata

VinFast is demonstrating strong results in the Indian market, surpassing other automotive companies that require years to understand and gain momentum in this market. VinFast managed to quickly establish a presence in India just a few months after its launch.

The company is currently preparing to introduce a new car model in India. VinFast has filed a design patent application for the VF 5 Facelift model, which provides insight into the vehicle's exterior. Although filing a patent does not guarantee an immediate sales launch, there is speculation that the company may release the most affordable model from its range in India.

Patent details include updated headlights, a new hood, redesigned rear LED lights, and a fresh bumper. Earlier reports suggested that the company was considering launching the VF 5 in India, and there is a possibility that this launch will happen soon.

The VinFast VF 5 Facelift model was spotted in Vietnam in September 2026 without camouflage. The design presented in the recently filed patent largely corresponds to the design of the vehicle spotted in Vietnam. This car will be equipped with slim headlights positioned lower than on the current VF 5 model available globally.

To give the SUV a modern and sporty look, the lower part of the bumper is finished in black, and the vehicle may be equipped with 16-inch wheels. The rear will feature massive LED lights. Behind-the-scenes photos show the presence of a large multimedia touchscreen mounted separately from the body. The car will be fitted with a two-spoke steering wheel, although information about the driver's dashboard is unavailable.

In Indonesia, the VF 5 electric vehicle comes with a 29.6 kWh battery and a front motor mounted on the axle. This motor generates 90 hp and 135 Nm of torque, with a claimed range of 268 kilometers. In other countries, this vehicle is available with a 37.23 kWh battery option, providing a claimed range of 326 kilometers.

In the Indian market, this model will directly compete with Tata's electric vehicles, potentially rivaling the Tata Punch or Tata Nexon EV. Real competition will only become clear after pricing is announced. Furthermore, this model will be cheaper than the VinFast VF 6. The cost of this car starts at 18.19 lakh rupees, and VinFast might price it around 12 lakh rupees in India, including all charges.
