The Acting Persona of Manthara Lallita Pawar: A Tragic Story of Betrayal and Loneliness

Following the release of the film 'Ramayana,' directed by Nitish Tiwari, which premiered in wide release on November 5th, audiences have been actively discussing the characters. Besides Rama, Sita, Ravana, and Lakshmana, actress Shiba Chadha also received much praise for her role as Manthara. This moment reminded people of Lallita Pawar, who played Manthara in the 'Ramayana' Ram Bhagavanta Saagara, and her mastery in portraying this character, which viewers still remember.

For those who saw her in the role of Manthara, she became a symbol of conspiracy; however, in real life, she herself faced severe punishment for betrayal and loneliness.

Lallita Pawar was born on April 18, 1916, in Nashik. She began her acting career at the age of nine and starred in over 700 films during her seven decades in the industry. Initially known as a heroine, during the filming of 'Jange Azad,' she suffered a severe blow to the face, which damaged her left eye. This incident led her to transition from leading roles to playing villainous characters.

The deepest wound came from her family. Lallita Pawar's first husband, film producer Ganpatrao Pawar, later became involved with her younger sister. According to reports, Ganpatrao remarried her sister, making Lallita's own sister his mistress. Following this betrayal, Lallita filed for divorce and subsequently married producer Rajprrakash Gupta, with whom she had a son, Jay Pawar.

The end of her life was difficult. In the 1990s, she developed cancer and began living in her home in Pune. At that time, her husband was hospitalized, and her son lived in Mumbai. On February 24, 1998, at the age of 81, she passed away. After her death, her body remained in the same house for three days. This came to light when her son called and received no answer. The police broke down the door, after which Lallita Pawar's body was discovered.

Lallita Pawar's name is still associated with the character of Manthara, but her true significance lies in her courage, acting talent, and struggle. Her death is not just a sad finale, but also a warning about family relationships, neglect of the elderly, and loneliness.

Rishab Rikhiram's new track 'Rama Rama' about Shabari and Rama receives positive reviews

Sitar virtuoso Rishab Rikhiram Sharma continues to win listeners' hearts with his compositions. He recently released the song 'Rama-Rama', dedicated to Shabari, which is filled with an atmosphere of devotion. This track was performed by him during the presentation of the film 'Ramayana' trailer in Delhi, after which it was released at the request of fans.

The song 'Rama-Rama' is presented in the format of a music video. Although it is not yet known whether it will be used in the film, the initial impressions from listening were very strong. The melody of the sitar itself is charming, and Rishab's mastery of the instrument has undoubtedly added sophistication to the song. He portrays Shabari's devotion in his unique style, and the composition feels more like a bhajan than just a song. The visuals are also of a high standard, and Rishab's vocals are of high quality.

In the song, Rishab touches upon the theme of Shabari's unwavering devotion and her story of offering fruits to Lord Rama, and also includes tales of Govardhan. According to the text, Govardhan wished to serve Lord Rama and wanted to become part of Ram Setu. However, by the time he reached the seashore, the bridge had already been built. In response to this, Lord Rama promised that in his next incarnation, he would return as Lord Krishna and personally help him.

This promise of Lord Rama was fulfilled in Braj. Lord Krishna lifted the Govardhan hill on his little finger for seven days and seven nights. During this period, he protected the residents of Braj and their cattle from the heavy rain caused by the god Indra. Near Govardhan is the sacred lake Kusum in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. It is believed that this place is associated with Radha and Krishna, and it still reminds of their divine love in the land of Braj.

From the story of Shabari's deep love to the desire to serve Govardhan—all these narratives teach that for God, no offering is too small. If there is sincere faith and devotion in the heart, even a humble gift will be invaluable to Him.
