Shiprocket, a platform supporting small and medium-sized e-commerce enterprises (MSMEs), became profitable in the second quarter of financial year 27. During the reporting period ending September 30, 2026, the company recorded a net profit of ₹60 lakh, contrasting with a net loss of ₹20.3 crore in the same period last year.
The company's operating revenue increased by 35% compared to the previous year, reaching ₹673.6 crore. Adjusted EBITDA stood at ₹14.2 crore, whereas the previous year saw a loss.
Shiprocket's core business revenue grew by 25% year-on-year to ₹461.5 crore. Meanwhile, revenue from the emerging business increased by 61% to ₹212.2 crore. The emerging business, which includes solutions for omnichannel delivery, cross-border shipping, hyperlocal delivery, marketing technologies (Martech), and e-commerce solutions, accounted for 31% of total revenue, up from 26% the previous year.
Within the emerging segment, Martech revenue growth reached 102%, and the omnichannel business demonstrated a 79% growth during the quarter. The growth in the omnichannel business is attributed to brands using the platform to replenish darkstore inventory for quick shopping. Scheduled delivery services allow brands to plan deliveries and access real-time order data from platforms such as Blinkit and Zepto.
The contribution increased by 43% year-on-year to ₹130 crore, representing 19.3% of revenue. The core business generated an adjusted EBITDA of ₹59.1 crore, which is 29% higher than last year, while the adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 12.8% from 12.4%. The emerging business reduced its adjusted EBITDA loss to 21.2% from 31.5%, and its gross margin improved to 15.4% from 10.1%.
Shiprocket's Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) over the last 12 months reached ₹37,398.7 crore, driven by 233 million unique transactions. The platform served over 2.36 lakh active sellers during this period. The number of sellers utilizing the emerging business products grew by 75% over the last 12 months, reaching 62,025. During the quarter, 17,281 new sellers joined through the emerging products, more than three times the 5,396 additions registered the previous year.
Sahil Goel, Managing Director and CEO of Shiprocket, noted that 'Indian commerce is annually dividing into more channels.' He emphasized that for a small brand, having sales on its own website, Instagram, replenishing quick shopping darkstores, and discovery via AI-based search creates complexity, which Shiprocket resolves by enabling any MSME in India to sell, ship, and grow on par with India's largest brands through a single dashboard.
Goel added that the 35% growth with positive adjusted EBITDA and operating cash flow demonstrates the possibility of building this through proprietary operations. He stated that the company's ambition is to see the next generation of great Indian brands built on the foundation of Shiprocket.
Tanmay Kumar, CFO of Shiprocket, explained that the positive Profit After Tax (PAT) this quarter was due to three factors. Firstly, scaling the core business: transactions grew by 31%, and adjusted EBITDA grew faster than revenue. Secondly, the continued activity of the emerging engine: Martech and Omnichannel businesses, the fastest-growing segments, more than doubled the contribution of the emerging segment while revenue grew by 61%. Thirdly, balance sheet strengthening: funds from the IPO allowed for the repayment of all debts, reducing financial costs, and the surplus now generates interest income.
Kumar also reported that the company generated ₹55.1 crore from operations in the first half of the year, more than double the figure from the previous year, and the company became debt-free. He added that the emerging business now attracts sellers to the platform independently, rather than just through cross-selling from the core business. In this quarter, Shiprocket attracted about 17,300 sellers through its emerging products, more than three times that of the previous year.
Furthermore, Shiprocket reported a net cash inflow from operating activities of ₹55.1 crore in the first half of FY27, compared to ₹23.8 crore in the corresponding period last year. After receiving funds from the Initial Public Offering (IPO) during the quarter, the company repaid its outstanding borrowings of ₹242 crore, becoming debt-free in the first half.
During the quarter, the company also implemented several AI-powered features, including Aitlas, which helps brands track their visibility in AI search, personalized marketing journeys, enhanced checkout features, and AI-driven delivery analytics. The platform currently processes over 14 billion API requests per month.
