Daksham Capital raised 125 crore rupees in the first closing of its 300 crore rupee fund

Daksham Capital, a group managing private capital and multi-family offices, has successfully raised 125 crore rupees during the first closing of its Daksham Growth Ventures (DGV) Fund I.

According to an official statement, the target size of DGV Fund I is 300 crore rupees. This amount includes a base capital of 150 crore rupees and a greenfield option for an additional 150 crore rupees. The fund's initial closing was secured through the participation of family offices, high and ultra-high net worth individuals (HNI/UHNI), and entrepreneurs.

The fund plans to invest in startups at pre-Series A and Series A stages. Investment check sizes will range from 5 crore to 20 crore rupees. The primary focus will be on D2C brands, consumer tools, B2B2C businesses, supply chains, and consumer artificial intelligence.

As per the statement, the fund's preferred entry range is enterprises with an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) between 25–75 crore rupees. Emphasis is placed on companies with the potential to grow revenue to 300–500 crore rupees.

Shivam Dewan, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Daksham Growth Ventures, noted that over the last decade, they have supported consumer startups that have achieved significant success. He added that the way consumers find, choose, and purchase goods is changing. In his view, the next decade of consumption will be shaped by brands and startups working in conjunction with AI—from discovery and personalization to order fulfillment, trust, and lending.

In addition to providing capital, DGV will closely collaborate with portfolio companies on governance, financial reporting, brand positioning, leadership development, and distribution expansion.

Saket Lakhotiya, Co-founder and CEO of Daksham Capital, emphasized that he sees great potential in businesses that understand their consumers, have a solid foundation, and are ready to realize their ambitions. He stated that their goal is to create long-term partnerships that align capital with future opportunities.

Daksham Capital operates as an asset and wealth management group, providing advisory services to family offices and acting as an investment banker for high and ultra-high net worth families, business houses, CXOs, public company promoters, and family trusts.

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to provide Davr Bank with up to $25 million to support youth business

According to the bank's press service, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide Uzbek Davr Bank with a loan of up to 25 million US dollars. These funds are intended to expand financing for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises owned or managed by young entrepreneurs.

The financing will be carried out under the EBRD's 'Youth in Business' program in Central Asia, which focuses on enterprises owned or managed by entrepreneurs under 35 years old. The loan can be offered either as synthetic financing pegged to the Uzbek sum or in US dollars.

Furthermore, at least 30% of the allocated funds will be directed towards supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises led by women. Additionally, Davr Bank intends to increase lending to businesses located in rural areas of Uzbekistan.

Young Davr Bank clients who meet the program criteria can benefit from the EBRD's 'Advice for Small Businesses' initiative, which provides training, consulting support, and other non-financial services. The goal of this project is to improve young entrepreneurs' access to financing outside the capital.

The project will also help Davr Bank continue to improve its banking products and internal systems for more effective service to this client group. EBRD considers creating new jobs for the young generation with technical and digital skills a priority, given that, according to government data, over 26% of Uzbekistan's population is aged 30 or younger.

EBRD operates in Uzbekistan to support private entrepreneurship and economic development. The bank reported that its total investments in the country have reached nearly 7.3 billion US dollars across 219 projects.
