Motorola has introduced a new ultra-premium smartphone to the Brazilian market, the Motorola Signature 27, available starting from R$ 10,999 this Thursday, November 5th. This device boasts the best camera among smartphones launched in 2026 and ranks second globally in camera rankings.
In addition to its photographic capabilities, the Signature 27 is the first device equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, features a screen with a peak brightness of 12,000 nits, and includes a robust 7,000 mAh battery.
The model is already available for pre-order starting at R$ 10,999 for the 256 GB version. The 512 GB configuration, which was exclusive to the previous model, now costs R$ 11,999, representing an increase of R$ 3,000 compared to the original Motorola Signature, which launched in March for R$ 8,999. With this launch, the manufacturer surpasses the R$ 10,000 mark in its conventional form factor phones; only foldable models, such as the Razr 70 Ultra (R$ 12,999) and the Razr Fold (R$ 15,999), have higher prices.
The head of marketing at DXO Mark laboratory, a specialist in photographic testing, confirmed that the Signature 27 achieved the second position among the best global cameras this year, in addition to having the best camera system launched in 2026. Aurélie Singer detailed that the product incorporates several innovations, notably the precision in skin tone reproduction captured by the smartphone.
Aurélie emphasized that the device's performance is satisfactory for both photos and videos, covering all sensors. The Signature 27 scored 173 on DXOMARK, trailing only the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra (175 points), launched in 2025. Other devices ranked immediately after Motorola include the iPhone 18 Pro (172), Vivo/Jovi X300 Pro (171), Oppo Find X9 Ultra (170), and Vivo/Jovi X300 Ultra (170).
The camera system consists of a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens, offering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x hybrid zoom. The main camera uses the 50 MP Sony LYTIA L910 sensor and incorporates LOFIC technology, which improves data capture in high-contrast light environments, such as concerts or urban nightscapes.
Completing the setup is a 50 MP ultrawide lens with macro functionality and a 50 MP front camera. The phone supports video recording up to 8K with Dolby Vision, and the company guarantees that photos and videos will have Ultra HDR on Instagram, resulting from a collaboration with Meta.
Motorola claims that the Signature 27 is the first in the world to integrate a dedicated Action Sensor. This event-based vision sensor (EVS), developed by Sony, autonomously records movements to the cameras, helping the user freeze high-speed scenes in Action Shot mode.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor was presented by Qualcomm in September. According to Motorola, it provides significant improvements compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, offering up to 37% more energy efficiency in the CPU, up to 35% advancement in NPU performance, and up to 44% in GPU performance. Its predecessor used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, a less powerful version.
The System on Chip (SoC) operates alongside 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. To manage heat, the ArcticMesh system employs thermal gel with microdiamonds and a vapor chamber 40% larger than that of the previous model.
The 6.8-inch screen adopts Extreme AMOLED Duo technology, which overlays two AMOLED panels to boost brightness and reduce consumption. The manufacturer states that the peak reaches 12,000 nits, the highest in the market among devices launched until October. Additionally, the panel consumes up to 34% less energy, and its durability is up to 121% greater than the AMOLED screen of the previous Signature.
The battery capacity increased from 5,200 mAh to 7,000 mAh, utilizing silicon-carbon technology, and promises to last up to 62 hours of mixed use. Wired charging is 90W, with a charger included in the box, while wireless charging reaches 50W but requires a separately purchased charger. The battery increase implies physical changes: the Signature 27 has a thickness of 7.99 mm and weighs 227 g, unlike its predecessor, which had about 7 mm thickness and weighed 186 g.
Other attributes reinforcing its ultra-premium positioning include audio signed by Bang & Olufsen, IP68 and IP69/IP69K certifications against dust and water, compliance with the MIL-STD-810H military standard, and the use of Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3.
The device will guarantee seven Android updates and seven years of security updates. In terms of artificial intelligence, Gemini Intelligence will allow complex tasks to be executed across multiple applications, and Motorola Qira will integrate Motorola and Lenovo mobile and computer devices. The model will also be the first Motorola compatible with GrapheneOS, an open-source operating system focused on privacy, although more details are planned for future release.
The Motorola Signature 27 is now available for pre-order on the Motorola website in Pantone Coal Smoke (charcoal gray) and Pantone Capulet Olive (green). Prices vary depending on the sales channel: with carriers, those who pre-registered receive a R$ 1,000 voucher. On Claro, the initial price is R$ 7,799 in 21 interest-free installments on the Multi 200GB plan. On Vivo, it starts at R$ 7,199, on the Vivo Total Family 4/5 plan. Retailers such as Amazon, Magalu, Mercado Livre, Inter Shop, and Bradesco Shop offer installment plans of up to 21 times.
