OnePlus has released a new smartphone named OnePlus Turbo 6Vs. This device is equipped with a large 9000 mAh battery, a 144 Hz AMOLED display, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor.
The new smartphone was presented by the company in China as part of its Turbo series. Other features of the device include a 50 MP camera, 80W fast charging, and 27W reverse charging. Notably, despite the large battery capacity, the phone's body thickness is only about 8.5 mm.
However, buyers in India will have to wait for now, as OnePlus has not officially announced the launch of this device in the Indian market.
Regarding the price, the OnePlus Turbo 6Vs was introduced in China in one configuration: 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Its price is set at 3699 Chinese Yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 53,000 Indian Rupees. The phone is available in Orange Heart and Nova White colors. Currently, sales information is only available on the company's Chinese website, and details about its availability and price in India are absent.
The main feature of the OnePlus Turbo 6Vs is the 9000 mAh battery, which significantly exceeds the average figure for most smartphones on the market, typically ranging from 5000 mAh to 7000 mAh. The company provides support for 80W wired fast charging, as well as 27W wired reverse charging, allowing other compatible devices to be charged.
The phone also supports pass-through charging. This feature allows power from the charger to be supplied directly to the phone's system under certain conditions, thereby reducing the load on the battery during long gaming sessions or device usage. However, despite the large battery capacity, the actual service life depends on factors such as screen brightness, gaming intensity, internet usage, and general user operating patterns.
The OnePlus Turbo 6Vs is equipped with a flat 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, or 2772x1272 pixels. The screen supports a 144 Hz refresh rate, which ensures smoother display during scrolling, animations, and gaming. Furthermore, a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits is claimed, which helps when viewing the screen in bright lighting conditions.
To reduce eye strain for users, the company has implemented dimming technologies such as PWM and DC dimming operating at a frequency of 3840 Hz.
For high performance, the OnePlus Turbo 6Vs is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. It works in conjunction with 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage drive. The phone runs on ColorOS 16, based on Android 16. Additional features include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, and an infrared emitter. For gamers and heavy phone users, an X-axis motor and special touch technology are provided.
The OnePlus Turbo 6Vs camera system includes a dual rear camera. The main module has a 50 MP resolution with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) support, and an additional monochrome lens has a resolution of 2 MP. OIS technology helps minimize hand shake when taking photos and videos.
Currently, OnePlus has introduced the Turbo 6Vs exclusively in the Chinese market, and the company has not provided official information about its release in India. Nevertheless, some models of the OnePlus Turbo series have previously been released in the Indian market under the Nord brand, sparking interest in how the company will introduce this phone in India—under what name and at what price.
