UzLideP organized a youth development forum in Tashkent dedicated to IT and engineering

A forum titled 'Creative Entrepreneurial Youth' took place in Tashkent. Young inventors and entrepreneurs showcased their projects in the fields of IT, artificial intelligence, engineering, and related areas. The event was organized at the initiative of UzLideP and was held at the Turin Polytechnic University.

Various groups participated in the forum: deputies of the Legislative Chamber and local Kengashs, the head of the Aktam Khayit party faction, party activists, members of the youth entrepreneurial community, as well as winners of the international tournament FIRST Global Challenge – 2026.

Exhibition of Developments and Project Discussion

The central part of the event was an exhibition where 15 young innovators presented their work. Among the solutions presented was the Smart Railway Guard system, developed by students of the Tashkent State Transport University. This system is designed to prevent failures in railway automation and telemechanics systems. A mini-hyperbaric chamber intended for use in oxygen therapy was also presented.

Participants were not limited to just showing projects; they also discussed the prospects for further development of these ideas, ways to obtain support, and paths to turning promising concepts into functioning business projects. Representatives of the political party gave recommendations on how these developments can be integrated into production processes and service sectors.

At the end of the forum, active participants were presented with commemorative gifts and certificates. UzLideP emphasized that such meetings serve the goals of supporting youth initiatives, contribute to the development of entrepreneurial competencies, and create conditions for the practical application of innovative developments.

Socially Significant Projects in Uzbekistan Will Receive Free Access to AI Infrastructure

In Uzbekistan, socially significant initiatives, including universities, scientific institutions, startups, and advisors to regional heads involved in developing digital technologies and artificial intelligence, will have the opportunity to use the AI infrastructure provided by the Ministry of Digital Technologies. The provision of these benefits is done either free of charge or at a discount, subject to passing a competitive selection process.

The procedure for providing these benefits has been officially approved by a government decree. For projects utilizing large language models, free access to the application programming interface is established for a period of up to six months. Within each calendar month, such projects can process up to ten million tokens—units of text that interact with the AI.

If a project's needs exceed the basic limit, an additional fifty million tokens per month can be requested, for which a 50% discount is provided. It is important to note that tokens not used in the current month do not roll over to the next period.

For working with other types of artificial intelligence models, different from large language models, participants are granted access to up to 120 gigabytes of video memory for six months. These computing resources are intended for tasks such as training, testing, verification, evaluation, and running computations.

The competitive selection of projects will be held twice a year—in July and November. Applications will be evaluated on a 100-point scale. Participants who disagree with the final results have the right to submit an electronic complaint to the appeals commission within three business days after the results are published. Reviewing such appeals takes five business days.

A restriction has been established whereby one user can participate in only one project. Furthermore, the obtained data cannot be used outside the stated purposes, transferred to third parties, or applied for commercial purposes unless explicitly permitted by law or contract. In addition, Uzbekistan plans to train one million young people annually in fields such as robotics, game development, and startup creation.

Uzbekistan aims to train one million IT specialists annually in fields from AI to game development

Uzbekistan plans the annual training of one million young citizens in areas such as robotics, computer game creation, startup launching, and other promising fields. To achieve this goal, educational initiatives for schoolchildren will be expanded, new courses launched, and curricula updated in higher education institutions.

These plans were announced at a presentation on the development of digital education before President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. For schoolchildren, there is a plan to expand the 'Al-Khwarizmi Heirs' and 'Five Million Artificial Intelligence Leaders' projects. Furthermore, interaction will be established between schools, universities, and private training centers, and national trainers will be prepared to ensure the scaling of education.

In universities, the focus will be on in-depth training of specialists in artificial intelligence, microchip design, unmanned technologies, and game development. Special attention will be paid to microelectronics, embedded systems, and the Internet of Things. Students will be more actively involved in practical projects, and scientific research should be integrated into real developments through the support of research laboratories and engineering projects.

There is also a provision for improving the qualifications of informatics teachers in the field of artificial intelligence, followed by certification. University students will be given expanded access to international courses in digital technologies. It is planned to open centers for training iOS developers, building on the experience of Fergana, and to prepare mentors for private training centers.

The authorities also aim to accelerate the launch of online platforms and short-term courses so that young people have the opportunity to acquire new knowledge not only in large settlements but also in regions. It is worth noting that as the chairman of the CIS in 2027, Uzbekistan intends to hold over one hundred events, among which key themes will be robotization, artificial intelligence, as well as scientific cooperation and education in the Commonwealth countries.
