Anna Kapoor questioned Nasiruddin Shah's statements about 'intellectual Naxals'

Various protests are currently taking place across the country. Recently, demonstrations were held at Jamia Millia Islamia University in Delhi, which Bollywood veteran Nasiruddin Shah attended. He spoke in support of the students and criticized the government, calling himself an 'intellectual Naxal.' His statement caused a strong resonance and criticism from all sides.

Anna Kapoor was also drawn attention in connection with the reaction to Nasiruddin Shah's statements. Commenting on the actor's words, Anna Kapoor told a news agency that while he may be a master of good dialogues, he doubts how deeply he thinks about the welfare and interests of the country. He noted that he has many questions for people who make such statements, emphasizing that it is democracy that allows such people to openly express their opinions, make such statements, and hold rallies.

It turned out that Nasiruddin Shah had previously published a video featuring a badge with the inscription 'intellectual Naxal.' He supported the students of Jamia Millia Islamia University who were protesting demanding the restoration of the student council in the university. In this video, Nasiruddin Shah stated: 'I proudly declare that I am an intellectual Naxal. I do not know what other names the security guards have given me. Sometimes they call me a traitor to the Motherland, sometimes a divisive group, and much more.'

Over the past few months, Nasiruddin Shah has been supporting student protests through social media. Last week, he also supported the demonstration of students from Satyajit Ray Institute of Cinema and Television in Kolkata. Anna Kapoor has previously spoken about the right to protest. He believes that peaceful protest is a democratic right of everyone, but condemns violence and damage to state property.

Difficulties with loud music arose during the promotional activity of the film 'Udta Tir' at the Wagah Pakistan-India border

Bollywood stars Aishwarya Khurana and Sara Ali Khan are attracting public attention due to their upcoming film 'Udta Tir'. They are actively promoting it before its release, but their promotional event at the Amritsar-Attari-Wagah border attracted increased attention.

When Aishwarya and Sara arrived at the border between India and Pakistan to address the audience, their voices were drowned out by loud music. Notably, the popular tune 'Tajdar-e-Haram' by the renowned singer Atif Aslam was playing from the Pakistani side. Videos of this situation are actively being discussed on social media.

On Tuesday, Aishwarya Khurana and Sara Ali Khan visited Amritsar and the Attari-Wagah border to promote their film 'Udta Tir'. They attempted to address the gathered crowd using microphones, but at that moment, the famous tune 'Tajdar-e-Haram' by Atif Aslam started playing through loudspeakers from the Pakistani side.

The video, which went viral on social media, shows Aishwarya and Sara repeatedly trying to speak to people, but their speech is barely audible due to the high volume. This promotional moment became a subject of discussion, although it is difficult to determine whether it was intentional or accidental. Users are actively joking about this situation.

Before this event, Aishwarya and Sara published a video on social media in which Sara expressed respect for the BSF personnel stationed at the border, noting their bravery and self-sacrifice. She thanked them as heroes of the country. However, the video they published did not include live footage of the event. Other videos that appeared later sparked discussions regarding the singing at the border and the stars' attempts to perform.

Upon arriving in Amritsar, Sara Ali Khan also visited Sri Harmandir Sahib, known as the Golden Temple, where she offered prayers. During the prayer, Sara looked very moved, and her video went viral online. The recording shows her folding her hands in supplication.

This emotional moment of Sara also attracted public attention. While videos related to the film promotion are being discussed, the video of her prayer at the Golden Temple is spreading across social media.

The discussion surrounding Aishwarya and Sara's film is not limited to India. The film has not received permission to be screened in Nepal. According to reports, Nepali film critic Sampyajraj Timilsina stated that the screening was suspended due to the plot, which is based on the tension between India and Pakistan. According to a report from the Nepali website Onlinekhabar, there are provisions whereby films that may damage the image of another country or negatively affect relations with friendly states can be banned.

This decision further intensified the discussion surrounding the film's premiere.

The film 'Udta Tir', directed by Akash Kaushik, is positioned as a patriotic comedy. In the film, Aishwarya Khurana plays a Pakistani agent who arrives in India as part of a mission. However, after an accident, he loses his memory and is led to believe that he is an Indian agent. This is where the series of misunderstandings, funny situations, and comedy begins. Sara Ali Khan also plays an important role in the picture. The film is scheduled for release on October 23rd.

It remains to be seen how successfully 'Udta Tir' will attract audiences to theaters amidst the viral events at the Wagah border and the ban on screening in Nepal.

Mika Singh defends Daler Mehndi after lip-syncing accusations

Indian singer and actor Mika Singh publicly supported his older brother, Daler Mehndi, after the industry veteran faced allegations of using pre-recorded vocals during a recent performance.

Singh called on the media to thoroughly verify information before publishing reports, emphasizing that unverified claims can damage an artist's reputation. He stated: 'The way Daler Mehndi was treated on stage was disappointing. A respected minister came onto the stage and leveled accusations against him... But before publishing such statements, shouldn't we check the facts and give the artist a chance to state his position? Who dares to treat an international group like Coldplay this way?' wrote Mika in a sharp statement.

Mika also shared that Mehndi has been suffering from ill health for the past two years and is still recovering. Furthermore, he refuted the allegations regarding substance use, defending his brother.

This post sparked a wave of support for the veteran among commentators. Those who supported him included singers Shaan, Harshdeep Kaur, Alisha Chinai, as well as actors Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kapil Sharma, Rahul Dev, Suyash Rai, and Suniel Shetty.

Previously, Uttarakhand cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal questioned Mehndi's performance in Tehri Garhwal, claiming the singer appeared disoriented on stage and used lip-syncing.

Speaking about this to ANI on Sunday evening, Uniyal noted that the singer should have presented his art with dignity. He added: 'He seemed disoriented on stage and couldn't even stand. I told him that he is a big artist and must present his art with dignity; he was offered 35 lakhs (approximately 135,373.1 dirhams) to perform, but he didn't even sing. That's why I expressed my dissatisfaction.'
