Project offers 480 free spots in music, fashion, and audiovisual workshops in Bahia

A project is offering 480 free spots for workshops focused on music, choral singing, fashion, and audiovisual in the state of Bahia. These opportunities are distributed equally among four municipalities: Salvador, Feira de Santana, Vitória da Conquista, and Ilhéus/Itabuna, with 120 spots designated for each location.

The activities are part of the initiative called Creative Factories of Bahia – Where Industry Meets Art to Generate the Future. The target audience for these workshops includes workers from the industrial sector and their dependents, as well as youth, community members, and cultural agents.

The curriculum covers everything from vocal introduction and collective musical practice to fashion creation as a form of artistic and cultural expression, as well as the fundamentals of video narrative. Classes will begin on November 12, using cultural spaces provided by the State Secretariat of Culture of Bahia (SecultBA).

The main goal of this action is to promote a connection between cultural production and industrial dynamics, thus stimulating possibilities within the creative economy.

Schedule of Inaugural Classes

The specific dates and locations for the inaugural classes have been defined for each city:

  • Salvador: November 12, at Forte da Capoeira (Forte Santo Antônio Além do Carmo), located at Largo Santo Antônio Além do Carmo, s/n.
  • Feira de Santana: November 13, at the Theater and Convention Center of Feira de Santana, located on Rua Tupinambás, São João neighborhood.

  • Vitória da Conquista: November 17, at the Camillo de Jesus Lima Culture Center, located on Avenida Rosa Cruz, 55.

Other stages of the project

In addition to the artistic workshops, the project includes conducting a diagnosis of the cultural vocations and existing opportunities in each municipality. At the end of the activities, the results will be presented in festivals held in the four cities, which will include audiovisual shows, musical performances, fashion parades, and exhibitions of the developed work. The final phase will culminate in the Fair of Creative Factories of Bahia, an event that will bring together all participants from the territories.
