The population enumeration phase for the 2027 census will take a longer period compared to previous censuses. Its duration will be almost a month and a half, covering the period from January 10 to February 28. This period includes a 15-day self-enumeration period.
Previously, Phase-2 lasted 20 days, traditionally running from February 9 to February 28. During the census, 40 questions will be asked, including requests for information on caste, Aadhaar, and voter ID.
