Grand Theft Auto 6 had an unexpected preview of its gameplay during an episode of the cartoon South Park. The animation showed a scene from the new Rockstar Games title, presenting an unusual interaction with the residents of Vice City.
This clip was shown in the episode titled "Beef Battle," broadcast on October 28th. The highlight of the scene was the introduction of a feature that allows players to collect and shoot dog feces.
Although it seems like a joke created by the show's writers, the sequence is authentic. According to the website Polygon, the episode's end credits confirmed that the footage was provided directly by Rockstar Games.
In the scene in question, a German Shepherd is seen eliminating its waste on the street while its owner prepares to pick up the residue. The main characters, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, pass by the location. Subsequently, Jason manages to interact with the feces left by the animal, picking up the object and using it to attack the dog's owner.
Although the situation depicted is comical, it illustrates an aspect of how the open world of GTA 6 functions: the ability to interact with objects and characters in daily contexts. This type of mechanic is not new in Rockstar games, with Red Dead Redemption 2 being a notable example due to the high level of detail in its animals, environments, and non-playable characters.
The appearance in South Park occurred shortly before the release of GTA 6, scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms. The new chapter of the franchise will take players back to Vice City, which is part of the fictional state of Leonida, following the trajectory of protagonists Jason and Lucia.
Even though Rockstar Games has not yet detailed all the game's interaction systems, the scene shown in the animation serves as further evidence of the level of meticulous planning for this new open universe. It is evident that not all these interactions will necessarily be pleasant.
