FromSoftware's Game The Duskbloods Postponed to 2027 for Adjustments

FromSoftware's upcoming title, known as The Duskbloods, has officially been postponed to 2027. Previously, the game, which is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2, was scheduled for release in 2026.

According to a statement released by the developer via the X platform (formerly known as Twitter), this date change occurred after the team analyzed feedback gathered during a recent network test. The purpose of this change is to allow for the implementation of improvements aimed at optimizing the player experience before the debut.

FromSoftware communicated that the project's development is already in its final stage and apologized for the delay. Currently, no specific date for the new release has been disclosed.

Unlike titles such as Elden Ring and Dark Souls, which are widely recognized for their action RPG experiences, The Duskbloods will focus on online multiplayer combat, supporting up to eight participants. Players will take on the role of the Twilight Bloodsworn, fantastic entities that acquire unique powers through the strength of blood.

Game sessions will allow participants to establish temporary pacts and compete against other users in disputes over a resource called First Blood. This concept blends elements of cooperation with highly competitive confrontations within a dark fantasy setting.

With this postponement, The Duskbloods is now part of the 2027 release schedule, although without a defined month or day. The game maintains its exclusivity for the Nintendo Switch 2. It is expected that FromSoftware will provide more details about the launch and the modifications implemented after the network test in the coming months.

Free game Sorry We’re Closed available on Epic Games Store until November 5th

The Epic Games Store makes at least one free title available for download weekly. This week, the game Sorry We’re Closed, classified as retro survival horror, arrives with both visual and gameplay mechanic updates, accessible from October 29th to November 5th.

Sorry We’re Closed presents a survival horror narrative centered on the clash between angels and demons, combining elements of terror with vibrant and colorful visuals. The title is a reinterpretation of the genre, inspired by PlayStation 1 classics like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, but maintaining its own identity in terms of aesthetics and mechanics.

The gameplay adheres to the traditional format of the genre, including exploration, combat against creatures, puzzle-solving, and the use of fixed camera angles. Additionally, the game incorporates social aspects; interactions with characters advance the story, introduce new missions and objectives, and allow for the unlocking of different endings based on player decisions.

The fixed camera contributes to creating tension without compromising the gaming experience. An additional element, the third eye, serves to connect the real and demonic universes, being used in the search for hidden passages and during combat. During confrontations, the perspective shifts to first-person and movement is restricted, intensifying the pressure, similar to older survival horror games.

Regarding the plot, the storyline deviates from the usual standard of the genre. The player takes on the role of Michelle, a character with limited lifespan, who tries to break a curse imposed by a demon thirsty for love. The story addresses various themes, such as prejudice and discrimination, and may not appeal to everyone, despite offering an immersive survival horror experience.

Sorry We’re Closed establishes itself as a unique addition to survival horror on Epic Games, mixing terror, style, and innovative mechanics. It is aimed at retro game enthusiasts looking for engaging novelties.

The Crew Motorfest launches robust version for Nintendo Switch 2

The racing game The Crew Motorfest, developed by Ivory Tower and published by Ubisoft in 2023 as a continuation of The Crew 2, was initially available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Maintaining and enhancing the premise of the previous game, The Crew Motorfest focuses on speed competitions involving multiple types of vehicles, including boats and aircraft, in addition to automobiles.

The title debuted on a Nintendo console on October 8, 2026, marking the release of its port for the Nintendo Switch 2, Big N's hybrid console. This article specifically details this version for the console.

The Crew Motorfest unfolds in open-world environments, offering a vast range of scenarios, tracks, and interactive objects, complemented by weather and time variations. To ensure that all these elements remain visually pleasing and fluid, certain graphical reductions have been implemented, such as reduced reflections, lower texture and shadow quality, and simplified distant landscapes.

Despite these concessions, the game maintains an excellent appearance on the Nintendo Switch 2, especially in handheld mode, where graphical mentions become less noticeable due to the console's screen size. The overall visual result is considered very positive, providing one of the best visual experiences of vehicular games for the Nintendo Switch 2, particularly in sunny and near-water areas, like the Hawaiian islands, the game's main setting.

In the Switch 2 version, the game's sound quality has been maintained without modifications. The various vehicles present in The Crew Motorfest reproduce engine, braking, and body impact sounds with great realism, comparable to other platforms. The voice acting is also praised, both in event narrations and in the short films preceding subsequent levels.

The soundtrack, mostly composed of electronic music in the style of 'Fast and Furious,' which sets the festival mood of the narrative, is reproduced with high fidelity, even in handheld mode. This demonstrates the capability of the Switch 2 speakers, even when handling the powerful bass required by this musical genre. There were moments when the soundtrack and voices seemed excessively loud compared to the race sounds, although this may be a developer decision and adjustable in the audio settings.

A notable aspect for those who will know the franchise through the Nintendo Switch 2 is that the entire campaign, whether single-player or multiplayer, operates entirely online. It is necessary to download 58.5 GB of data to the console storage and have an account with the game publisher to play it. If the user already owns the title on another platform, their progress will be automatically synchronized upon logging into the Switch 2 version with their account.

To ensure smooth gameplay, a fixed limit of '30 fps' has been standardized across all game modes. This limitation is not new, as the versions for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S also operate at 30 fps. Thanks to the planned optimization for this format, the gaming experience is not compromised, whether in land, water, or air races.

The game offers an infinity of events that are continuously added to the server, along with a large collection of cars, motorcycles, jeeps, boats, and airplanes, which can be obtained using in-game currency or through paid packages with real money. The constant renewal of races, vehicles, and events consolidates The Crew Motorfest as a strong competitor to the main racing game on the Nintendo Switch 2 currently, highly recommended for fans of the style who do not mind always playing connected.

The game is available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop for R$ 249.99 in the basic edition, potentially reaching R$ 349.99 with additional packs.

Cyberpunk 2077 receives update 2.5 with new missions, mods, and cosmetic content

The city of Night City continues to offer a wealth of content with the release of game update 2.5. Detailed notes for this patch are available on the title's official portal.

The studio had announced this update on Tuesday, October 20th, coinciding with the arrival of the ten episodes of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 on Netflix. The live stream (REDstream) took place on October 21st at 12 AM Brasília time on YouTube, Twitch, and Steam platforms, and the full notes were released shortly after on the game's official website.

One of the narrative highlights is the side mission called Repression, which takes place before the events of the second season. To access it, the player must complete the mission 'The Heist,' finish two gigs for Wakako, and wait for her message. Completing this mission rewards a set of five items inspired by the King. This mission follows the recent work of the Weak Kingsley team and uses the same voice actors from the anime, although the developers have refrained from providing details to prevent spoilers.

The update also introduces the HKGN 102.0 FM radio station, which exclusively plays music from both seasons of Edgerunners, totaling 16 tracks. Furthermore, the 'Welcome to Paradise' mission offers V a guided tour of the metropolis, narrated by Richard Night, which may present a distorted perspective of Night City's history. The studio classified this achievement as a 'cozy' mission, focused on lore and containing an element of mystery. To unlock it, the player needs to finish 'The Heist' and reach Credibility level 15.

The map now features 12 Minor Arcana cards distributed throughout. Reading any of them initiates a continuation of 'The Mad Ballad,' and collecting all of them results in a special reward. The tarot menu has been updated to differentiate between Major and Minor Arcana.

Mod support is available through mod.io for PC, Mac, PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 (the latter will receive the update later). Users can manage and install mods directly from the menu. CDPR refers to this initial feature as a curated mod selection, which will be expanded over time.

On consoles, saved files containing modifications will have their trophies and achievements disabled, indicated by an icon in the Load Game menu. During the broadcast, Paweł Sasko confirmed that the menu supports adult mods and warned players against installing too many mods simultaneously, as this can cause game instability.

A long-desired community feature, Double Trouble, has been added to the Morale tree. This feature allows for a new playstyle using two weapons simultaneously and adds four more auxiliary perks. This functionality applies to Power category pistols and revolvers; shotguns and rifles are excluded. Although the bonuses from both weapons remain valid when used together, the developers mentioned the existence of a drawback without specifying which one.

The Photography Mode has received additions, including new poses allowing the player to show V carrying a weapon in each hand. Additionally, frames inspired by the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game have been included, allowing screenshots to be turned into cards.

Cybernetic customization has seen a significant advancement for those wishing to alter V's appearance: it is now possible to modify the look of hand implants. There are five glamorous options, plus five new characters scattered across Night City, identified on the map with a spray paint icon. Each character resides in a dedicated shop, featuring an introduction scene, voice acting, and exclusive animations. Simply equipping the implant and visiting one of these locations allows switching the appearance, totaling 40 new looks.

Five clothing collections have been added to the shops: MaxiWear (available in Heywood, Arroyo, and Little China), Jinguji (in Downtown), NetWatch (in Kabuki and Japantown), and IconAmerica (in Pacifica, Badlands, and Northside). A fifth set will be released at a later date, without a set schedule. The US Agent infiltrator outfit can be found in Kabuki and Japantown, and four TWINTONE visuals for the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech will be made available via Twitch Drops.

V can also use hairstyles that were previously exclusive to NPCs and restricted to certain body types.

Update 2.5 will launch on October 22nd for PC, Mac (via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. PC players using Battle.net will receive the content only on November 10th. The Switch 2 and Mac App Store versions are expected
