The discussions took place during a meeting between Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, and Viktor Boretsky, the Slovak Ambassador to Uzbekistan. The parties examined prospects for expanding import and export operations, as well as opportunities to support companies from both countries when entering new markets.
Particular attention was paid to the creation of joint ventures and the implementation of projects through public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms. The Slovak side presented Uzbek entrepreneurs with information on investment opportunities in Slovakia, including conditions for obtaining land plots and existing business support measures.
Participants also discussed issues of regulating bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration. The conversation covered potential areas for strengthening business contacts and creating additional opportunities for enterprises interested in developing commercial activities in both countries.
Representatives of the Slovak business community plan to participate in the international forum 'New Uzbekistan: Crossroads of World Markets,' scheduled for November 29 to December 5, 2026. This forum is expected to serve as a platform for further contacts between business representatives and discussions on potential areas of trade and investment cooperation.
