The Pakhtakor football club will receive support amounting to five billion soums from the Tashkent Development Fund. These funds are intended to cover the team's current expenses in accordance with the approved budget. The decision to allocate this money was made by the capital's mayor, Shavkat Umurzakov, on October 29.

The request for funding was submitted by both the football club itself and the Center for Municipal Assets Management under the Tashkent Mayor's Office. Dilshod Khudobergenov, the First Deputy Mayor for Finance, Economy, and Poverty Reduction, was instructed to prepare a corresponding proposal for consideration by the supervisory board of JSC 'Toshkent Invest'. This company is responsible for organizing the allocation of the required 5 billion soums to Pakhtakor.
Furthermore, the Center for Municipal Assets Management is obliged to take steps to increase its stake in the charter capital using the received funds and guarantee their targeted use. A report on how the money will be spent must be submitted to the Tashkent City Kengash of People's Deputies.
Club's Financial Difficulties
Previously, information about Pakhtakor's financial problems appeared in various media. For example, in May 2026, the publication Vaqt.uz, based on data from the portal iHamkor.uz, reported that according to 2025 results, the club incurred losses of 50.8 billion soums. The team's total expenses reached 128.9 billion soums, and the tax debt amounted to 17.1 billion soums. For comparison, in 2024, the club managed to end the year with a net profit of 36.9 billion soums.
During the summer, sports publications also covered reports of delayed salary payments to players and staff, with some data indicating that payments had not been made since May. The club's management did not publicly comment on this information at the time. Additionally, in August, there was circulating information that entrepreneur Jakhongir Artykhodzhayev had ceased financial support for the team, but this data did not receive official confirmation. Nevertheless, it was reported that by the time this information surfaced, all accumulated club debts had already been repaid.
