US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that Iran is experiencing a shortage of economic resources amid sanctions imposed by Washington against Tehran.
In a post on the social media platform X, he noted that the Iranian regime, as part of the 'Economic Outcast' operation, is losing its lifelines, and its proxy forces are feeling pressure.
Bessent also asserted that the country is facing difficulties in transferring funds, with reports indicating that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) cannot pay salaries to its own troops.
He added that they are limiting the regime's ability to finance the Houthis, Hamas, and Hezbollah, emphasizing that they will not allow Tehran to continue funding their terrorist campaign.
