According to Sputnik on October 29, the coaching staff of the Russian national team highly evaluated the capabilities of their opponent before the upcoming meeting with Uzbekistan in Tashkent on November 12.
Pisarev stated: 'The opponents are super! Thank you to the Russian Football Union; this is a very wonderful thing. Uzbekistan is a participant in the World Cup. We wanted the opponent to come out in optimal form, and we demonstrated our best game.'
