British Report: Share of Hindus in Pakistan Decreased from 14.6% to 1.7%

There is a continuous decline in the Hindu minority population in Pakistan, which has become a subject of serious international concern. According to a recent British report, in the region of modern-day West Pakistan, the share of Hindus was 14.6 percent in 1941. However, according to the data in this report, the number of this group has significantly decreased and currently stands at only 1.7 percent.

These statistical data have attracted the attention of human rights defenders worldwide and have also prompted detailed discussion of this important issue in the British Parliament.
