The holding of trilateral negotiations between Russia, the US, and Ukraine is expected after November 4, although the exact date has not yet been determined. This was reported by Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the President of Russia, to journalists, according to RIA Novosti.
Ushakov stated that the date will be clarified shortly, but confirmed that the meeting will take place after November 4. He also noted that the timing of the upcoming negotiations depends on the situation on the front line and general circumstances. Moscow has not yet put forward its proposals regarding the date of the meeting.
Furthermore, the final composition of the Russian delegation has not yet been approved. According to Ushakov, the main composition of the delegation has been formed, and the remaining members will be determined soon.
For his part, Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hope for a trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi from November 6 to 10 during a press conference held in The Hague with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Hetten. Zelensky emphasized that a technical trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi is necessary in any case.
According to him, Kyiv awaits a response from Washington, and although the exact date may be known after November 4, the change of venue for the negotiations cannot be ruled out due to the situation in the Middle East.
Ushakov reported that the possibility of European representatives participating in the negotiations is currently being considered. The parties agreed to resume trilateral consultations only with the participation of representatives from Russia, the US, and Ukraine. He particularly stressed that the issue of involving participants on behalf of Europe, such as Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, is not being discussed.
It should be recalled that on October 21, the issue of resuming trilateral negotiations was discussed during Vladimir Putin's meeting with US special envoy Steve Witkoff.
