Hoorakhsh Studios begins production of the animated series 'Shahnameh'

Production has begun at Hoorakhsh Studios for the animated series 'Shahnameh,' which is overseen and created by Ashkan Raggozar. The series utilizes 2D animation and artificial intelligence methods in its creation.

Following the release of the feature animated film 'The Last Fiction' and the writing of seven graphic novels based on 'Shahnameh' plots, Ashkan Raggozar has returned to Ferdowsi's epic, as reported by the ILNA agency.

It is planned that the series will adapt all stories from Ferdowsi's 'Shahnameh' from beginning to end, with its release and broadcast occurring simultaneously over approximately ten years.

The animated series 'Shahnameh' will be produced in both Persian and English, taking into account the interests of international streaming platforms. Each season will consist of 8–12 episodes, with each episode estimated to last 15–20 minutes.

The first season, titled 'The First King,' tells the story of the reign of Kayumars, a legendary figure in Iranian mythological history mentioned in both the Avesta and 'Shahnameh.' 'Shahnameh' is the studio Hoorakhsh Studio's first major independent animated series. The studio's portfolio includes two feature animated films, over 11 short animations, more than 10 music videos, the publication of 11 graphic novels, and the development of five video games.

'Shahnameh' (Book of Kings) is an extensive epic poem written by the Persian poet Ferdowsi approximately between 977 and 1010 AD. It is the national epic of the Great Iranian Empire. Comprising about 50,000 couplets, 'Shahnameh' ranks among the longest epic works in the world and is the longest epic created by a single author. It primarily describes Iran's mythical, but partially historical, past, starting from the creation of the world up to the Muslim conquest in the seventh century.

This national epic is observed in Iran, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, as well as in regions influenced by Persian culture such as Armenia, Dagestan, Georgia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Ferdowsi spent 33 years completing 'Shahnameh' in its entirety. The work holds immense significance for Persian culture and language, considered a literary masterpiece and a defining work of Iran's ethno-national cultural identity. Ferdowsi (940–1025) is revered as one of the most influential figures in Persian literature and one of the greatest figures in literary history.

Kuba Auri headphones feature equalization developed in Brazil and offer multiple sound personalities

Wired headphones are gaining popularity, driven by both aesthetics, often inspired by celebrities, and sound quality, which can surpass that of wireless models. One advantage of wired headphones is the smaller number of components, allowing manufacturers to invest more in drivers, which are responsible for sound generation. Furthermore, the larger internal space facilitates the speakers' work, unlike true wireless models, where reduced space impacts acoustics.

In recent years, the wired headphone market has been transformed by Chinese companies such as KZ, Moondrop, and Truthear, which introduced affordable and high-performance models. This movement, known as Chi-Fi (derived from Hi-Fi, meaning high fidelity), also saw the emergence of partnerships between manufacturers and audio reviewers, such as the Singaporean Crinacle (who has the brand CrinEar) and the American HBB.

These two trends converged in Brazil with the launch of the Kuba Auri headphones. Kuba, a company established several years ago, is known for its Disco headphones and was founded by Carioca Leonardo Drummond, creator of the Mind the Headphone channel, dedicated to audio analysis and boasting 438 thousand subscribers on YouTube.

Although the Auri are produced in China and based on a Chinese model with a USB-C cable and dynamic driver per side, they feature a distinctive characteristic: their equalization was created in Brazil by Kuba. This equalization resulted from an online survey conducted with over a thousand people to determine the Brazilian public's preference regarding the balance of bass, mids, and treble.

Based on this investigation, Drummond developed an equalization curve for the headphones. This process involved technical challenges, such as compensating for deviations and natural resonances of the drivers, in addition to negotiations with suppliers to achieve the ideal result. The final result is a pleasant sound, characterized by abundant bass, but without compromising the clarity of the mids or the brightness of the highs. The Auri reveal many musical details and possess remarkable spatiality, giving the sensation that the sound is around the head, rather than contained within it, as occurs in in-ear headphones.

For those who are not audiophiles and are only used to true wireless headphones, the Auri can represent a great discovery. For audiophiles, there is an additional feature: an online interface that allows applying ten distinct equalization curves. By connecting the headphones to a PC or Mac and accessing the website equalizador.kuba.audio, the user can select and activate the desired curve. This setting is saved on the cable, working even when the audio is played on mobile devices, although changing the equalization is not possible via mobile.

Besides the main curve, the website offers options such as Natural (with less bass), Basshead (with more bass), and Energetic (ideal for rock). These equalizations are based on the actual performance of the drivers and include precise corrections to approximate target curves, being more accurate adjustments than those obtained with generic applications like Wavelet. The site also presents curves popular among audiophiles, such as Harman (developed by Samsung since 2017), JM-1 (more recent and more neutral), and Etymotic, known for its extreme focus on detail with bass attenuation.

In terms of physical usability, the Auri are comfortable, featuring three sizes of silicone tips, and the cable is durable, not easily tangled or noisy when rubbing against clothing. Additionally, the cable is detachable, allowing it to be replaced if damaged over time. The only physical drawback is the absence of a grille in the headphone opening to prevent the entry of earwax and debris.

Currently, the Auri are available on the company's official website for R$ 287. This price is considered attractive, offering excellent audio quality and the versatility of multiple equalization curves, providing an experience comparable to owning several different headphones.

Zelda Chronology: The Game Order Defined by Nintendo 25 Years After Franchise Launch

The chronological organization of The Legend of Zelda divides the games into three parallel timelines, all originating from Ocarina of Time. An important fact is that this sequence did not exist during the game development; it was formally released in 2011 through the book Hyrule Historia, when the franchise was already over 25 years old and had nearly twenty titles released.

This indicates that Nintendo did not conceive a complete saga and then segment it into games. On the contrary, the company produced the games over 25 years and subsequently organized everything into a coherent line, or not.

The game Skyward Sword, released in 2011, serves as the starting point for the narrative. The original 1986 title is found at the end of this timeline. Some games underwent minor script changes, known as retcons, to better fit the new structure. This chronological framework remains constantly updated, with its last modification occurring in September 2026, along with the announcement of the Ocarina of Time remake.

With the franchise reaching 40 years and the remake scheduled for November 5, 2026, it becomes relevant to understand how this complex structure is organized. However, this apparent confusion can be seen as a positive characteristic of the series.

Each Zelda title has its own complete story, with a defined beginning, middle, and end. This allows the player to start with Breath of the Wild, Ocarina of Time, or the most recent remake without needing to have played anything before, as the game itself provides the necessary information. There are few clear exceptions: Majora's Mask continues Ocarina of Time with the same Link, Tears of the Kingdom is a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild, and Phantom Hourglass succeeds The Wind Waker. Even in these cases, the subsequent game manages to stand on its own.

Although knowing the connections enriches the experience, there is a strong argument for those who play in release order, as this sequence allows players to experience revelations as they were planned. Imagining playing The Wind Waker in 2002, treating it as an ordinary cartoonish Zelda, and later discovering that ocean covers the Hyrule of Ocarina of Time, or finding a warrior skeleton in Twilight Princess that turns out to be the Link of Ocarina, dead unrecognized, are moments that lose impact when the player already knows the chronology.

In practical summary, it is recommended to play in whichever order is most enjoyable, using the chronology only as supplementary reading material, and not as an obligatory prerequisite.

The entire saga begins with a curse established in Skyward Sword: the Demon King Demise is defeated, but before dying, he pronounces that an incarnation of his hatred will eternally pursue those who carry the goddess's blood and the hero's spirit. This fundamental phrase sustains the entire franchise, explaining why the princess is always called Zelda, the hero is Link, and the villain always returns. It is not the same individuals, but rather the same three souls continuously reincarnating.

Four games occur before the narrative split: a young person raised in the forest discovers they are chosen by the goddess. Ganondorf, king of the Gerudo and incarnation of Demise's hatred, stages a coup to obtain the Triforce. Link extracts the Master Sword from the pedestal, but at only ten years old, his body cannot withstand the power, resulting in a seven-year sealing. Taking advantage of this opening, Ganondorf obtains the Triforce and divides it into three parts. Seven years later, Link awakens as an adult and becomes the Hero of Time, winning the conflict.

It is at this point that the story branches into three paths. Zelda sends Link back to the past so he can recover the lost seven years. Upon returning with his memories, he alerts the royal family, and Ganondorf is stopped before the initial coup. This is the world Link leaves when traveling through time: a world without a hero.

The third branch is the most peculiar, as it starts from a hypothetical scenario: what if Link had failed in the final battle of Ocarina? In this alternate universe, Ganondorf manages to gather the three parts of the Triforce. The Seven Sages manage to imprison him in the Sacred Realm, triggering the War of Sealing, which in turn corrupts into the Dark World.

A notable detail for collectors is the change in the order between Link's Awakening and the Oracle games. While Hyrule Historia (2011) placed them in a different order, the Zelda Encyclopedia (2018) inverted this sequence; the current updated order is the one in effect.

For years, it remained unanswered where Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom fit in. Neither was ever integrated into any of the three main branches. Tears of the Kingdom added complexity by revealing that Hyrule was founded by Rauru and Sonia of the Zonai race, which would imply the existence of two Ganondorfs: the Gerudo of Ocarina of Time on the surface and the original Ganondorf sealed underground. This question was never fully resolved.

In September 2026, after the 40th Anniversary Direct that presented the remake, the Japanese page of the game included a revised chart with a subtle yet crucial change: a second founding of the Kingdom of Hyrule, positioned immediately before the War of Sealing in Tears of the Kingdom, keeping the first founding at the beginning of the chronology, as always occurred.

The community's interpretation of this is that the Hyrule of Rauru represents a re-founding, occurring long before the classic chronology. The location simply resumed the name Hyrule, just as the hero always returns to the name Link.

In the source code of the same page, content creators identified the two games as a shared epilogue: the convergence point of the three branches. This idea was already defended by the series developers, suggesting that Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom occur so far advanced that the three lines have become legends, making it impossible to distinguish legend from history within the universe itself.
