The Rio das Ostras Culture Foundation (Froc) has started the application period for the Call for Promotion of Scenery, Costume, and Scenic Elements Production. This initiative aims to stimulate productions carried out by the Artistic Training Center for Music, Dance, and Theater, known as Escola da Onda.
Public resources totaling R$ 40 thousand will be made available to approved projects. Interested parties must formalize their registration by 6 PM on November 16th. The application process is completely free and must be done exclusively through the electronic portal www.culturagov.com.br/froc, where the complete Call for Proposals document can also be accessed.
Eligible participants include individuals, legal entities, individual microentrepreneurs (MEIs), and cultural groups, provided they prove residency and activity in the Municipality of Rio das Ostras for at least one year.
The first category of the call, with funding of R$ 8,000.00, seeks to select a proposal dedicated to the creation, rehearsals, adjustments, and delivery of costumes for the show titled “Sinfonia Sonho”. For this project, the visual concept must highlight the distinct characteristics of each character.
The second category allocates an input of R$ 16,000.00 to choose a project focused on the development, manufacturing, and delivery of costumes and set design for the production “Entre o Rio e o Mar”. The scenic setting of this project integrates essential components of spatial dramaturgy, where the floor defines the territorial space, the stairs create the vertical dimension, and the doors regulate the interaction between the audience and the private environment.
With an investment of R$ 16,000.00, the third category aims to select a project for the development and supply of costumes for the Onda Young Ballet. This company functions as a transition stage between the technical training offered at Escola da Onda and the professional job market, gathering students in intermediate and advanced stages.
