IFSertãoPE's Polyglot Club in Petrolina Zona Rural Opens Applications for 106 Spots

The Petrolina Zona Rural campus of the Federal Institute of Sertão Pernambucano (IFSertãoPE) has started the registration period for new members of its Polyglot Club. This extension program offers free activities for participants to practice conversation in English, Spanish, and French, in addition to providing a dedicated group for studying the French language.

In total, 106 spots are available, divided into four distinct categories: 30 spots for English conversation, 30 for Spanish conversation, 30 for French conversation, and 16 spots designated for the French study group.

The distribution of spots stipulates that half will be allocated to the internal community of IFSertãoPE itself, covering staff, students, and outsourced collaborators from all campuses of the institution. The other half is reserved for the external public.

The final deadline for registration is October 29, and the process must be completed exclusively through electronic forms. Interested parties need to select the appropriate link according to their participation category—internal or external—and the modality of interest.

How the activities will be conducted

The meetings, both for conversation and the French study group, will take place weekly and will be conducted virtually using the Google Meet platform, with a scheduled start date of November 17. During the conversation sessions, participants will address various topics, such as movies, music, weather conditions, travel, literature, technology, and routine, utilizing didactic materials to foster interaction.

Regarding the French study group, learning will be supported through texts, videos, and audio, aiming to assist in mastering grammar, improving pronunciation, and expanding students' vocabulary repertoire.
