Management Ministry informs that holding the CNU in 2027 depends on budget approval

The Ministry of Management and Innovation communicated that the holding of a new edition of the Unified National Public Contest (CNPU) for the year 2027 has not yet been determined.

According to the ministerial department, the decision regarding the contest is conditional upon the approval of the budgetary proposal for the next year, which was sent to the National Congress at the end of August.

The Ministry of Management stated that although it is necessary to await the approval of the Budget Law to confirm the CNPU in 2027, the MGI will continue to promote efforts to renew the ranks of the federal public service and ensure that the agencies are well-structured to serve the population.

The department also emphasized that it views the CNPU as a public policy aimed at the modernization, renewal, and democratization of access to federal positions.

The intention is for the CNPU to become a continuous process of selecting civil servants, with periodic editions, preferably every two years. This aims to ensure better planning, gradual workforce replacement, and greater security for participants and public institutions.

Additionally, the government mentioned that the model generated interest from states and municipalities, which allows for the use of the experience accumulated by the federal government in conducting large-scale public contests, working in collaboration with other federative spheres.
