The city of Niterói has announced free performances by Gilberto Gil to celebrate the city's 453rd anniversary on November 22nd. Gil will be the main star of this celebration. Previously, he performed for free at the New Year's celebration on Icaraí beach from 2019 to 2020, where he was also one of the main participants. The venue and time of the event have not yet been announced.
On New Year's Eve 2027, João Gomes is scheduled to perform in Niterói, concluding the evening. Alceu Valença and the drum group Unidos da Viradouro will also perform at the event. The event will take place on December 31st.
New Year in Niterói 2027
The New Year's celebration program in Niterói 2027 will begin with a performance by the Orchestra of the Music Student Program, which brings together young musicians from the city. After this, Alceu Valença will take the stage. Immediately before the fireworks marking the start of the new year, the drum group Unidos da Viradouro will perform. João Gomes will take the stage closer to the end of the evening.
