Microtek invests over 400 crore rupees to accelerate solar business growth

Microtek has announced an investment of over 400 crore rupees with the aim of accelerating the development of its solar energy division. As part of its expansion plans, Microtek has invested this amount and plans to build a new solar panel manufacturing plant in Jaipur. This plant is expected to commence operations by November 2026. This information was disclosed by the company at the Renewable Energy Exhibition 2026, which concluded on Saturday.

Supporting the 'Har Ghar Bijli Ghar' concept, the company will introduce its new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This underscores the company's commitment to making reliable energy solutions accessible to both private households and enterprises. The company announced this in a statement published on Sunday.

With nearly forty years of experience in power management, Microtek's portfolio covers four main areas: power generation, distribution, air conditioning, and energy storage. At the exhibition, the company showcased its home inverters, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, electrical wires, solar panels, solar inverters, and lithium-ion batteries.

The company supports initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana program, which aims to provide rooftop solar power plants for ten million households. In this regard, Microtek offers solutions that help consumers efficiently generate, store, and manage electricity, thereby reducing dependence on traditional energy sources.

N. K. Aggarwal, founder and chairman of Microtek International Pvt Ltd, stated that the 'Har Ghar Bijli Ghar' vision reflects the company's ambition to help households generate and manage their own electricity. He noted that the company's portfolio, covering generation, distribution, air conditioning, and storage, is built upon almost forty years of experience ensuring reliable power supply. Through its BESS and lithium-based solutions, the company strengthens its capabilities to meet India's evolving energy needs. Microtek's network is supported by over 100,000 dealers across India.

The company forecasts doubling its revenue in the financial year 27 to 5,000 crore rupees, while also aiming to reach 10,000 crore rupees within two years.
