Azerbaijan heads the Council of the Turkic Investment Fund

Azerbaijan assumed the chairmanship of the Board of Directors of the Turkic Investment Fund (TIF) until the next annual meeting.

This decision was made at the third council meeting, which included representatives from Azerbaijan, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan was represented by Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Khurram Teshabaev. Participants reviewed the fund's activities and determined priorities for its future work.

Discussions focused on increasing funding for investment projects, attracting additional resources, and strengthening cooperation with international financial institutions.

The parties also examined opportunities to create a portfolio of projects in the fields of transport and logistics infrastructure, industrial cooperation, energy, and business support.

A separate part of the meeting was dedicated to improving TIF's corporate governance, enhancing operational efficiency, and clarifying the division of responsibilities among the fund's governing bodies.

Following the meeting, participants outlined further steps for developing TIF's activities and promoting joint investment initiatives.
