Mahesh Singh Dhoni advised the younger generation to focus on fitness and abandon a sedentary lifestyle

Former captain of the Indian team, Mahesh Singh Dhoni, urged Generation Z and Generation Alpha to prioritize physical fitness. During a conversation with Javed Akhtar, Dhoni warned that prolonged sitting, lack of physical activity, and the rise of fast food can lead to future health problems.

MS Dhoni pointed out changes in the youth's daily routines, noting that movement used to be a natural part of people's lives. Today, commuting from home to the office, working for many hours while seated, and then traveling home by car have become commonplace, causing the body not to receive sufficient exercise.

He advised young people to regularly participate in sports events and maintain physical activity. According to MS Dhoni, the consequences of a passive lifestyle may not appear immediately, but problems could arise after reaching the age of thirty.

MS Dhoni explained that previously, movement was a natural process in people's daily lives. However, now many travel to the office by car or other means, spend the entire day sitting, and return home in the same manner. As a result, the body does not receive the necessary activity.

He also cautioned that consuming fried and fatty foods, as well as high-sugar products, is harmful to health when physical activity is low. Although the effect may not be noticeable immediately, problems can manifest with age.

During this discussion, Javed Akhtar noted that the current young generation is better than previous generations in many aspects. He admitted that his own generation was sometimes consumed by its ideas and principles, whereas today's youth show positive changes in their attitude towards moral values.

Javed Akhtar also emphasized that older people should not assume they have answers to everything and should be prepared to learn from the new generation. Two different aspects emerged from the conversation between MS Dhoni and Akhtar: understanding the views and values of the youth, and adopting habits that promote long-term health.
