Rebeca Matta releases album 'Pélvica', her first in 13 years

The Bahian singer and songwriter Rebeca Matta is returning to the recording career with the release of the album 'Pélvica', which marks her first record in 13 years. The artist, known since the 1990s when she released the album 'Tantas coisas' in 1998, will present this new work on Friday, October 30th.

The album, titled 'Pélvica', is the fifth in Rebeca Matta's discography and contains ten original songs. The musical production was orchestrated by Rebeca Matta herself, featuring the participation of Guilherme Kastrup and Enio Nogueira. In this project, Kastrup plays drums and percussion on several tracks, while Nogueira contributes guitars, synthesizers, and electronic programming.

The unreleased and original repertoire of 'Pélvica' includes the songs 'Gira', 'Sem perceber', 'O som do silêncio', 'Dentro da minha cabeça', 'Aconchego', 'Me perdoa', 'Sair por aí', 'Ela' and 'Danço'. Before the album's release, the single 'Olho no olho' was released on September 25th, where Carla Suzart played bass.

The single 'Olho no olho' was recorded with the participation of Chico César, Lan Lanh, Larissa Luz, Mateus Aleluia and Roberto Barreto. The album 'Pélvica' follows the live work 'À flor da pele' (2013) in Rebeca Matta's trajectory and explores fusions between MPB, pop, and electronic music through experimental approaches.

This experimental characteristic had already been noted in her second album, 'Garotas boas vão pro céu, garotas más vão pra qualquer lugar', released in 2000, which gave her some media visibility.
