The Road Connecting Karakoram and the Arabian Sea: Beginning the Journey Along the China-Pakistan Corridor

In a 12-episode journey, CGTN with Daniyal Khan explores the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which runs from the majestic Karakoram mountains in the north to the shores of the Arabian Sea in southern Pakistan.

The series focuses on the infrastructure, industrial facilities, and local communities at the heart of Pakistan's development process, as well as the growing cooperation between China and Pakistan.

The journey begins at the Khunjerab Pass, where China and Pakistan meet. The series then follows the Karakoram Highway south through some of the world's most challenging landscapes.

The route includes a visit to the land port of Sost for cross-border trade, as well as an introduction to the rich history of Hunza and the daily life of its residents. This exploration shows how this vital route between China and Pakistan connects people, opens up new opportunities, and gives a new impetus to northern Pakistan.
