ByteDance has introduced the Seedance 2.5 model in 4K format, which was released on the Volcano Engine cloud platform on October 23. This model is intended for the needs of the film and television industry as it enables the generation of higher-resolution video.
Company representatives reported that through additional training, the model has improved the rendering of subtle movements, facial expressions, and fine visual details. Currently, access to the model is provided for testing to selected corporate clients.
The model includes a Draft mode, which allows users to review frames and refine storyboards using 480p previews before creating the final 4K version. Furthermore, Seedance supports 10-bit color and is designed to maintain image quality, color, and minute details when working with source materials or editing existing footage.
Some companies involved in film production and post-production, both in China and abroad, have already begun testing this technology.
