The Labor Public Ministry (MPT) in Alagoas established a Conduct Adjustment Term (TAC) with Panificação Ferreti. This agreement aims to guarantee that the company's employees have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote during the second round of the 2026 Elections.
Conduct Adjustment Term (TAC)
The agreement was formalized on Thursday, the 22nd. The need for this adjustment arose after Panificação Ferreti units located in the Tabuleiro dos Martins and Feitosa neighborhoods in Maceió posted a notice. This notice informed that working hours would end at 12 pm on Sunday, the 25th, for an employee fellowship event.
Following the publication of this announcement, the ministerial body received a complaint alleging that such a measure could prevent certain workers from voting within the state. If the company fails to comply with the TAC, it will be subject to a penalty of R$ 100 thousand for each violated obligation, in addition to R$ 1 thousand per irregularly found employee.
Conduct Adjustment Term (TAC)
According to the MPT, with the signing of the TAC, Panificação Ferreti committed to ensuring its employees' participation in the elections. Furthermore, the term expressly prohibits the company from coercing, pressuring, constraining, or giving any type of guidance to employees and job candidates on how to vote, abstain from voting, or support candidates chosen by the employer.
Other restrictions include the prohibition of the company promoting political demonstrations at the workplace or making mentions of candidates in materials such as uniforms, flyers, or during meetings. After the formalization of the TAC, Panificação Ferreti was required to issue and maintain a visible notice until Monday, the 26th. This notice must clarify the cancellation of the fellowship scheduled for October 25th and reaffirm the company's respect for citizenship. This note must be published in all places where the original notice was disseminated, including the company's pages on the internet, social media, and WhatsApp groups, if any.
