The film 'Ramayana' by Nitesh Tiwari, which is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, has received its first review. The main cast includes Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash. Recently, screenings of the film were organized in the USA, where a local resident shared her opinion on social media.
Priya Mathew, an X user residing in America, wrote that she watched the film this week. She noted that she liked the film in most moments, but she was not satisfied with the English dubbing, which she reported to Sony. She prefers watching films in their original language as it allows for a better understanding of the plot.
In response to an X user's question about whether she felt connected to the story, Priya confirmed that she felt an emotional and strong connection to the plot, and she really liked the music. She highly praised A.R. Rahman's Indian soundtrack, considering it superior to Hans Zimmer's compositions used in the film. She also speculated that some songs might have been removed from the English version.
Another X user asked about the appearance of the God Hanuman in the film, to which Priya decided not to reveal spoilers. Answering another user, she mentioned that she even shed tears unexpectedly. She also specified that she did not watch the film in 3D or IMAX format, and the English version lacked the full song track.
When asked about the visual effects (VFX), Priya noted that they were magnificent, but some action scenes looked as if they were created by artificial intelligence. Discussing the budget, she emphasized that she does not compare 'Ramayana' to 'Odyssey' as an equal film because the latter featured a star-studded cast and a renowned director, which was evident in the quality of performance. Nevertheless, she enjoyed 'Ramayana', but cited 'RRR' as a more perfect film as an example.
When asked why she preferred 'RRR', she replied that the story, acting, visual effects, and music of 'RRR' surpassed 'Ramayana'. However, she noted that both films had a similar issue with dubbing. She added that she had never seen 'RRR' in its original Telugu in her homeland, often watching it in Hindi Indian dubbing.
This review can be considered the first feedback on 'Ramayana' since most comments are positive, although the comparison with 'RRR' attracted significant attention.
