Bag-e-Gul-e-Daud Garden with 3.5 Lakh Flowers Opens in Srinagar; Governor Umar Abdullah Urges Visit

It is not necessary to visit the beauty of Kashmir only in the summer; the valley's landscapes captivate tourists even during the autumn period. If you are planning a trip to Kashmir in October-November, be sure to include a special garden in Srinagar in your travel list, where you can see the magnificent world of colorful chrysanthemums.

Bag-e-Gul-e-Daud Garden, located in Srinagar, is ready to welcome visitors for its second season. The Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Umar Abdullah, has invited both local residents and tourists from all over the country to visit this garden. It is the first chrysanthemum garden in Kashmir and was created with the aim of stimulating tourism during the autumn season.

The Garden Decorated with Over 70 Varieties of Flowers

The main feature of this garden is the blooming chrysanthemums. In the current season, approximately 3.5 lakh plants of more than 70 different varieties of chrysanthemums have been planted in the garden, which spans about 120 canals. The flowers of various shapes and shades make the entire park extremely picturesque. Visitors can take photos among the flowers and enjoy the beauty of Kashmir's nature, filled with bright colors. This place will especially appeal to those who love nature, gardening, and photography.

Previously, Bag-e-Gul-e-Daud Garden was opened to tourists for the first time in the autumn season last year. The first season received a positive response, attracting a large number of local residents and guests. Following this, the garden was expanded this year, and new varieties of flowers were added. The Department of Floriculture has improved amenities such as fountains and squares, striving to preserve the natural beauty of the surroundings alongside the splendor of the garden itself.

What Did Umar Abdullah Say?

After the opening of the garden, Governor Umar Abdullah appealed to tourists from all over the country, as well as to local residents of Srinagar and the surrounding areas, to visit the garden. He asked people to enjoy the garden's beauty, take pictures, and return with wonderful memories. The goal of this appeal is to promote tourism in Kashmir and increase the attractiveness of the autumn season for visitors.

Why Should You Include This Place in Your Kashmir Trip?

People often travel to Kashmir, including Dal Lake, Mughal Gardens, and mountain landscapes in their itineraries. However, if you want to see something different, you can explore this chrysanthemum-decorated garden. Here you can spend time with family or friends, take photos among the flowers, and view the beauty of Srinagar from a different perspective.

It is important to remember: before visiting, you should check information regarding the garden's operating hours, ticket prices, and the current condition of the flowers with the local tourism department or the department of floriculture to ensure your trip goes smoothly.
