The Iranian Minister of Sport and Youth, Ahmad Donjamali, issued a statement praising the participation and efforts of the Iranian delegation at the fifth edition of the Asian Para Games held in Nagaoka, and congratulated the medal winners.
At these Games in Nagaoka, Iran concluded its campaign by finishing in sixth place. This represents a drop of four positions compared to the previous performance in Hangzhou, China, in 2023, where the country finished second.
The Iranian delegation won 102 medals, including 26 gold, 36 silver, and 40 bronze. This number differs from the results in Hangzhou, where 131 medals were won—44 gold, 46 silver, and 41 bronze.
Furthermore, Donjamali emphasized the need for a comprehensive evaluation of Iran's performance at the Games, as well as continuous support for Paralympic athletes. He also highlighted the necessity of prompt and effective planning to secure qualification spots and strengthen Iran's presence at the Los Angeles Paralympic Games.
